Fevola Injuried?

Agree SCOOP. Bowden can go toe-to-toe with him with pace. Maybe Jakey King can rattle him!

To take a quote from the new Rocky movie, "We need punches so hard they'll rattle his ancestors!"

Agree with the sentiment but King & Bowden won't exactly be worrying Fevola. If he is slightly hampered this is the week you'd like a Darren Glass, Mal Michael type at FB.

Agree. The best way we have to physically annoy him is by doing it subtly. We have no big powerful brutes. Just bumping into him all day. Pushing off balance, running into him for no reason, just constant medium impact stuff.

Then we has the ball, throw him to the ground. If it is outside goalrange, (about 80 for fev!!! He is the best long distance kick in th game, puts Anthony Rocca to shame) give away a free kick but make him hurt.

Rayzer would have been perfect for a bit of niggle on Fev.

oh my god, a positive PRE remark about Ray Hall. Never thought I'd see the day. Thank-you.

Ah you gotta love Rayzer - slow, unco, bad decision maker but he's got a big heart and tries his guts out.

Hardly. With the new intreptations of the laws, you can barely touch a forward-and Fev is the master of milking the free under the new intepretations.Hall will give away free kick after free kick.Much like Gaspar did with donut.

If you need reminding of Halls work in the bustling stakes, watch last years game against the Aints when Gehrig kicked 10.

Scoop is right,Fev needs a smart opponent(who wont give away frees)and who will also hurt them going the other way.ie Bowden.

Fevola will take on Tigers
28 March 2007 Herald-Sun
Mark Stevens

BRENDAN Fevola is still mystified, but Carlton could not be clearer.

Make no mistake he is the key to there season and they cannot function with out him. If he plays he needs to have someone on him who make him chase and be accountable when they don't have the ball. Gas cannot do this.

Can Luke McGuane play this role? He likes to run off his opponents when playing in defence. Can he deal with him in one-on-one's though even with Fevola on one leg?

Would have thought J.Bowden fills that description better than McGUane.

Yeah he does fill that description better.
Personally i think Fev will play. But play a shocker

IMHO, the only player capable of restricting Fev. is Joel Baby. Gas...no way, as he always plays from behind and cannot match Fevola for marking. Also, Fevola is like Lloyd, a master of the swan dive, and I still remember the frees Gas gave away in the NAB Cup.

Channel 10 just said Fevola may need surgery as it has been a constant pain since the NAB cup grand final.

I'm sure Fev will play against us. But does anyone else see the real problem. :'(

If Fev does have surgery then Carlton are right up there with Collingwood for having absolutely no-one to kick to. This means the scum will probably get the ruddy spoon again and maybe a priority pick. For goodness sake another No. 1 Draft pick ?????? :help :help :help :help :frustration

BS, i still think the roos will get the spoon but priority picks now start in the second round and under 4.5 wins...

Don't you get a priority pick at the start of the first round if you've won less than the required number of games for two years in a row?

Won't apply to the pies, they won too many games last year.

Fevola on the Footy Show said he has a 'small tear' behind his kneecap.' Small tear?
Talk of bruising, knee soreness, surgery?
Could all be a smokescreen & obviously we should expect him to be playing but I won't be surprised if he's a late withdrawal.

I know ToO i was shocked when i heard that he has a small tear, talk about giving the tiges a bit of info and he tries not to land on it also as it gives him some problems.

He either won't play or will be severely restricted...if he's actually telling the truth.

If he is, then this should even out the Brown situation, as Fevloa is their only matchwinner.
