Argies just a class or 3 above. But dare I say it, we were Brave.

Did better than expected. Got to be happy with this World Cup.

Nearly could've with Kuol in the dying seconds.....

We need to create better attacking skills. Too sloppy.

Just hope we get some better luck if we make the final 16 next time in 2026.

Both heavyweights.

2006 v Italy
2022 v Argentina

Thought we played really well. What could have been. The Ryan blunder was obvious but I thought the Messi goal was bad as well. He fitted that between 3 defenders on his shot line and the goalie. None of them could get between it, and the goal line.

Yeah, we did for most of the game. I reckon on Messi's goal the defenders did a good job closing in on him once he had the ball, but they have him to much space in the box to receive it.
Then Ryan's was a complete f up. Since the France game he had kept so well, and did in this game too, but that mistake is going to haunt him for a while. Chances are we wouldn't have won anyway, but going 2-0 down made it almost impossible.

The team should be proud, but I am sure they won't be happy. We now have to wait 4 years for another chance to prove ourselves at the top level.

Bosnich lauded it as the best performance he has seen by an Aust soccer team.

Great performance, possibly their best of the tournament, regardless of a couple of errors &
result. The squad did themselves & nation
proud. Well done all involved!!!

We've been let down before but handy if FFA harness the goodwill from the achievements of WC 2022 to create & invest in pathways for sustainable growth & future success.

Hopefully the Matildas can reinforce & build on this momentum in 2023

Time for the FFA to get their house in order and get our national competition to an acceptable standard. The level of interest is at an all time low.
