OK now i am sure most are expecting another vitriolic assassination of the side from myself and fellow darksiders but i must say i have the pistols well and truly in the holsters as i missed the game and will watch the tape tonight to see for myself but what if any were the particular events which led to such a drubbing of which was supposed to be a disgrace. I know Hall held G Train to 10 goals but what else happened.

I was at work today, on a clients worksite, and when I walked in, the TV was on and it had the game.

The first thing I saw was Chaffey kicking from HB and turning the ball over, and I wondered if I'd gone back to watch some old footy from the frawley era. Then i saw lids, and polo and Schulz, and I knew my worst fears had come true.

Then I saw stafford mentioned in the forward line, Hall standing Gehrig, and I began to cry in anticipation.

I am sure some would think myself and others may laugh or fee like saying i told you so or rejoice at todays loss but nothing could be farther from the truth!!

I AM GUTTED

In fact it is very dissapointing and i am sure that if the usual suspects performed their usual tricks today then a public whipping is deserved, i am nervous that alot of our rants, and so called whipping boys once again enhanced their profiles today, which if the case dissapoints me as the club must not continue with these duds anymore.

However i am also led to believe we turned up to play a defensive game with a defensive mindset, which could be a possible contributing factor in such a performance.

Clawsy baby has it right when he has said that he believes that the club has stalled in relation to attempting to sneak a finals berth which while understandable is not yet realistic of where the club, and its list are at.

There is more pain to come which i can bear and i am sure Claw wont mind me talking for him on this that getting beaten is ok when the future and the future development of the side is the focus and the side is not infested with soft, substandard, mediocre underachieving, mentally impotent duds as it still is from week to week.
There is much work to be done in regard to list management and the axe must swing at years end, and i still spit blood every time i think of the club re signing Rodan and Hall for next year what a joke, and i am sure that slowly but surely many may see the rants of myself and the so called Darkside as realistic observations on such areas and players not just rampant, un thought out vitriole.

Darksiders dont agree on everything, nor do they take delight in the tigers getting pasted, it hurts just as much as everyone else, if not annoys more when many of the issues which top the Darkside agenda are oplayed out again and again for the same results.

Where a number of players are concerned such attacks are well deserved and sadly even so stale now that many including myself cant be bothered going on bout them anymore.

TW keep on keeping on with the kids and FFS get rid of the duds and start playing positive footy again instead of trying to minimise damage. LET THE KIDS LOOSE AND GIVE THEM THEIR HEADS dont hold em back with defensive mindsets.

I will watch the tape because i am sure there is a fair bit that can be gleaned from it.

Then i will spend the next 48 hours assasinating one and all .............. JUST KIDDING ;D

Wallace has been adamant in every interview I've heard that this season isn't about finals.

He has said it's about an improvement graph going in the right direction.
if that results in finals then so be it but I don't think he's obsessed about it as you and Claw seem to be insinuating.
I think Wallace actually leans towards the "darkside" and recognises the deficiencies of the club.
Thursty going down early dealt his plans a huge blow as I think he was being groomed for the position we so agonisingly require.
Injuries aren't an excuse but I'll guarantee there were plenty of players in that 22 today getting a game by default that Wallace thinks either aren't ready yet or are at the end.
He said as much in his press conference.

Well put Oldie you are a very sage man. Agree with you alot and i think a few home truths have been exposed at times.

The side has improved markedly and the kids are very exciting and thats what 06 has been all about for me, sadly we have no depth and building a complete list to cover all lines on the ground will take time.

In Thursty, Cleaver, Polo, Lids, Blinga, Meyer, Casserly, Jon and Raines we have a good start, some talls needed now as well as some inside grunt.

I think some have expected a little more than what would be deemed reasonable, and regardless what happens in the last few weeks our kids have had a look in and the club is better placed for the future.

The future is bright and patience for another year or two is required, and i am prepared to be patient if steps are continued in the sake of the future as has already been initiated this year.
