It's the half way mark of the season and this is who I think will finish in the top 8 at the end of the season

1 West Coast
2 Geelong
3 Sydney
4 Western Bulldogs
5 Kangaroos
6 Adelaide
7 Fremantle
8 Collingwood

Still far from convinced with the Hawks and the Bumbers. Predicting they will tumble down the ladder by season's end.

The only team I disagree with you mainlandy is Freo,I think they'll miss out at the expense of Bombers or Hawks.

Me thinketh that Freo will drop out (although i dont know thier draw for the rest of the year), and the Hawks will jump up. other wise pretty good. :clap

It looks like being very tight come R22. I fancy Bulldogs and Freo to replace perhaps Essendon and Kangas in the current 8. Hawks are a strong chance to finish top 4.

If the Bombers can keep Hird on the field they should make the 8 at the expense of an undisciplined Freo.

History suggests that after round 11 there will be few if any changes to the teams inside the top 8. In fact the only years I can think of where a team has fallen out of the top 8 after round 11 are:
Richmond in 96'
Richmond in 98'
Richmond in 00'
Richmond in 03'
Richmond in 05'

So for what it's worth:

1) West Coast
2) Geelong
3) Sydney
4) Collingwood
5) Adelaide
6) Essendon
7) Western Bulldogs
8) Hawthorn

im not very impressed with the swans. might miss the 8 the way they are travelling.

Interesting topic. Have had a good look at the draw, and this is my prediction. FWIW I think the Swans should be safe.

Anyhow here is my prediction:
1. Geelong
2. West Coast
3. Collingwood
4. Hawthorn
5. Adelaide
6. Western Bulldogs
7. Sydney
8. Port Adelaide

3 important games this week

Collingwood will finish St Kilda'a chances.
Winner of Bulldogs and Port will make the 8 - loser won't
Loser of Sydney & Freo will find it tough going.

And Richmond will start our surge to 9th by beating the Kangas. :)

They were great results compared to the weak efforts of this season...
