Hogg, James...why not throw in Pickering :rofl...it's hard to come up with anyone hey...Rob Wiley had a footy brain...same era as KB...oh well...it will be worth the wait with JR.

Enjoy your passion RainsyBabe, but something in me finds this attack or "thoughtless comparison" a tad offensive.

Been fortunate enough to meet and talk with these and some other RFC forwards. Even had the odd kick with em, so perhaps my views are vastly more measured and understanding of the guys you say may lack a football brain. Perhaps it's more a case that you consider Jack's football brain to be much greater (already::) ) - rather inferring others lack one.

Keep up the passion...................

I will Pharace and thanks...

To me a "football brain" means "a player that will act quick and choose the right option 95% of the time"...I have never doubted a Richmond player not having a normal brain...I guess my comments are confusing some people out there...especially member "nomemory" having a go about me over Richo...I'm still laughing :rofl

With the exclusion of Nathan Brown when he is out there playing forward...the Tiges haven't had a forward with a football brain since...well geez since Kevin Bartlett. :o

Seems like you've all forgotten a bloke called Roach - he could take the odd mark and kick the occasional goal I seem to recall.
No Growl...could never have forgotten the great Disco...same era as KB mate, although he did play after KB retired...he was a sensational mark and kick wasn't he ?

Those two above quotes from you leave me somewhat confused.

First you say we haven't had a forward with a football brain since Bartlett, yet, when I draw your attention (and others) to Roach you say he was the same era. Well, he was playing the same time as KB's last 6 years but he went on to play for 6 years after KB retired.

Also Hogg had enough football smarts to play at both ends of the field.

Roachy was a terrific grab and kick and as such a top full forward. Not really that good below his knees or in bringing others into the game.

Riewoldt has a greater footy IQ - whether it translates to the big tme, only time will tell.

And he was chosen #13 in the national Draft.

So was Dal Santo.

I'd take him into our midfield in a heartbeat ;)

So would I, but I don't remember Dal Santo getting such a huge wrap before playing a game.

He pretty much crept under the radar. I remember watching training at Moorabbin before he'd played a game, where he continually missed set shots at goal from 25m out, no angle. Some even went out on the full, causing a St.Kilda mate to wonder aloud "What did we see in this bloke?"

No pressure on Jack in here is there?

Geez...........

If he is half as good as Richo I'll be happy and if he gets a contested ball tomorrow night that will be a plus, but the Coburg 2's is lightyears from an AFL regular so guys give him time.
