I think I might start a thread dealing with Chinese cooking appliances and see how long it takes for the usual suspects to turn it into a thread about Richmond's over-rated players and the duds on our payroll.

I tried to keep this thread on tract - but to no avail - OH well - I thought it was interesting - maybe looking at the A grade players of other clubs and compare where we are at. Hawthorn for example would be interesting ....

The Doggies have the hand & foot disposal skills and runners with class, however are probably a KPP or two short for a genuine crack at the flag for the moment. Need to fast track the development of Walsh who is a mid-term prospect.
May need to trade an "A" mid-fielder to get the KPP they will need on Grants retirement. Should look to trade with St. Kilda for the KPP if possible to create a win-win.

no point in arguing it on this site but if you did a poll amoung other sites you would be surprised how others dont rate Richo
we all love him at RFC and he bleeds Yellow & Black and gives his all every week, but where is he really rated in the competition by non biased judges, maybe inside the top 50 just - thats not good enough
so in my opinion if your FFWD & Highest paid marquee player is not inside the top 30 let alone the top 20 then you have 1 overpaid & over rated player and a poor list - IN MY OPINION

Why does Richo have 2 and sometimes 3 opponents? because the opposition coaches know it needs that many to stop him.

It is as I suspected, difficult to actually define what an A-Grader is, especially under the A. Clarkson scale of excellence, let alone the Tiger scale of mediocrity.
It would seem that Clarkson's scale ran a little shallower than some people's here, if he got twelve "A" graders every year out of a premiership side. Add to that some players may only be an "A" grader for one or a few seasons - a bit like our enduring memories of some of our own.
Then some people opted for the "will be an A grader" category (Oh yeah) and Darth, loved your "Twilight A grader" category. Not knocking - just admiring the creativity! Is there as one gamer "A" grader category, a "Coodabeen A grader" category, and a "if he wasn't injured he'd have been an A grader" category.
