Fiona

yes skybeau i would be happy to consider the option (like my opinion has any sway -  :rofl   ) becuase what you say it true: Pettifer, Tuck, Tivvers, Hyde: they are all like different people now.

The players are showing they were chosen correctly (beck) and handled poorly (coaching dept...all of them)

Fiora's attempt to mark was ordinary, something we saw regularly with his kicking, handpasses & shooting for goal in his Richmond days;

The actions of Grant Thomas were also ordinary; Sure, Fiora made a terrible mistake, but St Kilda coaches over the years (Sheldon, Alves & now Thomas) all have a poor history making examples of players and quarter break huddles & interchange benches;

It clearly shows, both parties are heading in the wrong direction.

Yes, very poor effort by Tubby Thomas to single out Fiona. Very ordinary coach, (similar to the "Spud" variety :hihi :hihi)

BTW doesn't "Tubby" have one of the "rudest" heads in football?? :hihi :hihi :rofl

Fiora actually missed two marks in a row, seemed to be a confidence thing. The one that has created all the talk, I thought he misjudged the flight of the ball to be perfectly honest. There was only one Crows player behind him.

Fiora is a fringe player in my books. An outside player, we have enough of those atm, couldnt see him as alikely candidate back at the Tigers. Once you let them go, I dont think its wise to bring them back again.

Singling out Fiora by Thomas was pretty poor. The St Kilda team was a rabble. Not a huge fan of Thomas as a coach.

Cheers

Not surprised his confidence is shot...going from being Danny's golden boy to being among Thomas' list of maybe players would knock anyone's frame of mind around.

Sorry, but I just can't help but look at players like Pettifer, P Bowden, Hyde, Foley etc and see the effect that TW has had on them and just wondering if Fiora, given a second chance under a new coach, if he would prosper or not.

Obviously its not a popular opinion, but what if he did come back, would we see the same transformation that we have in other maligned players? Or do we just have too many players of Fiora's ilk to even vaguely consider him?

Wallet flicked him because he knows he's a leper.

Think Fiona's career might be finished at the end of the year, just hasn't been able to step up to the required level.
Talk about timing on his ducking the head, Arch mentioned in his article about how you could bust your proverbials over a long career, but get caught once by a camera ducking in a contest and you get squib forever.

Who cares about Fiona? He had the brains of a rabbit and although it took a while he eventually paid us back by allowing us to pick up Simmonds. I wonder how Thomas feels now, knowing that he could have traded Black for a decent ruckman instead of a skinny winger/flank without a football brain?
