I wouldn't say that, there have been much worser picks:

1986 - ND pick #4 - Richmond, Richard Anderson, Norwood - did he even get to the club?

Mind you, we have slaughtered ourselves terribly, over the years, by trading away early picks.

Didn't he's brother play for essendon?

if Fiora ended up back at the RFC i would fair dinkum :vomit

best decision made ever made, apart from Carlscum picking Kreuzer then us picking Cotch, is to trade him away.

On a slightly different tangent, I recall reading an article, I think before last years National draft, where this guy was interviewed. His regret at not coming over was very clear in the article. He was training to be a teacher, and in the end stayed in SA to pursue his career.

Like he said in the article, he wishes he had taken the opportunity. At the end of the day, he could have been an AFL/VFL footballer, but he can't say that he was now.

In the early years of the draft, a number of interstate players were selected who had no intention of coming to Victoria at that time, e.g. Darren Jarman was drafted by Melbourne and Brisbane before Hawthorn got him.

Fiora was close to becoming a trivia question - 14 games shy of the record for most matches without receiving a Brownlow vote.

Has there ever been a softer, dumber footballer?
Farewell Muppet Arms.

Not quite Mango Boy.

Fiona shall grace many a more page of PRE thread throughout our lifetime by thoughtless posters willing to dredge up dispair, dismay and debacle.
