PUNT ROAD END | Richmond Tigers Forum

After hearing Bomber Thompson on "On the Couch" tonight admit that the Cats were unfit in the first half of the season....also Nathan Thompson and Glenn Archer saying on SEN last week that the Kangaroos had a light pre-season and they were unfit also....(a couple more articles about these clubs fitness levels):

.....did Richmond do enough during the pre-season?

After seeing the Eagles on Friday night, and the Crows....the way they run hard into space to provide an option, pressuring the opposition when they have the ball, and working for each other (running to shepherd the ball-carrier, etc)....and then watching the Tigers on the weekend....we do look unfit in comparison.

Then you look at players like Cousins and Ricciuto, both solidly built players....and then look at our players, who always seem so light.....the question remains:

Did we follow the Cats/Kangaroos and simply not work hard enough over the pre-season?
Are we fit enough to mix it with the best?
Do we really need TW to work them harder over the next pre-season, both in the gym and stamina-wise?
or is it because we have so many kids that we seem so unfit/light?

Just wondering what you all think...
