look back 12 mnths.
we had just had a pretty successful wizza cup runers up to port whereas our rnd one opponent had a pretty tame pre-season.
rnd result-a good solid win the the tigers.
why? simply we overan them we were more conditioned than the pies.i remember tivvers last year running rings around dimattina of the pies in which we were able to get a few easy goals.

now to the present just reverse the sides :-/.

will be interesting at the selection table this week with the above senerio.
cambo-short of a gallop and still some question marks over his injury.
hall-same as cambo but without injury concerns
zantuck-short a gallop
blumfield-exact same senerio as cambo
dunc-a bit more advanced than cambo and blumfield.

all the above would be in the side when fit. the question is can we afford to with match fitness being the key to next friday?

Good point J2R2003.

While a win would be nice and give us all a warm fuzzy feeling there are a few areas that I want to see changes in.

1) I want, no wait, I demand an obvious improvement in the skill level of the whole team. I'm looking at you *smile*, Richo, Bowden, Kellaway etc.

2) I want to see a new look midfield capable of winning centre clearances and putting physical pressure on the opposition.

3) Forwards actually taking marks on the lead and more goals from general play.

And a few things I don't want to see.

1) Frawley and co. being outcoached

2) Going goaless in a quarter especially the first.

3) Richo spitting the dummy

4) *smile* looking disinterested.

5) The midfield being comprehensively beaten.

up against one of the best in the comp.tough prosepct

2) Going goaless in a quarter especially the first.
that may happen as the game goes on

3) Richo spitting the dummy
no chance with jono in the side ;D
4) *smile* looking disinterested.
no chance while the war is on. the stock market is on the way up ;D

5) The midfield being comprehensively beaten.
no chance with my boy jono showing the way ;D

I took a glance back to 2003. The Spud Years. and Capt Madcow.

It kind of supports the thesis that not much has really changed in well over a decade. :vomit

Coaches being outcoached, underwhelming i50's, disinterested looking blokes, an inadequate midfield.

Tigers are the ultimate post modern footy experience.

sorry mods.
