According to Craig Cameron's report in the RFC Annual Report there are a few new appointments/movements that may or may not have been reported on here already.

CC firstly makes a big point of thanking departees Greg Miller (Director of Football), Paul Armstrong (Football Operations Manager) and Warren Kofoed (Rehabilitation and Conditioning Coach) for their work with the club over the years.
He then goes on to announce the following appointments:

Ross Monaghan
Football Operations Manager.

Wayne Campbell
Assistant Coach responsible for the midfield group.

Tim Livingstone
Player Development Manager (off-field)

Terry Condon
Rehabilitation/Strength and Conditioning.

Brendan Farhner
Sports Science.

Other internal changes are:

Dale Weightman moves from (Player Development) to (Club Relationship Manager).

Brian Royal (forward coach/Director of Coaching)

Craig McRae (skill acquisition/development coach). Flea will also help out here.

Jade Rawlings (player development/Coburg Coach)

We should have plenty there already to make those decisions.

Reckon the Hawks do as well yet they have one. I may be wrong but it looks to me like they're treating this as a one year exercise rather than the ongoing job it needs to be. Funny they were all prepared to continue with CC there if they got Pelchen for the Footy Mgr's job. If we still needed it then then we still need it now.

Is the annual report online anywhere? If so, where can it be viewed?

Could be wrong but I thought CC was the 'list manager', Jackson our head recruiting guy and had employed a couple of extra hands to help FJ out.

CC was upgraded to Chief of Football (or some great title like that) and we were told that the list manager role will be filled again. FJ is the Recruiting Manager. Ross Monaghan is the Football Operations Manager.

I think we need to recruit a List Manager and another Assistant Coach.

Ta bobby, as I said could be wrong.
Perhaps Francis & Cameron work the list together seeing as we have strengthened the recruiting department.
Also isn't Campbell our extra assistant coach & one more than we had last year?

Think so,FJ & CC should be able to handle list management.

No as Jade Rawlings was the Forward Coach and VFL Coach. Wayne Campbell comes in to Midfield coach and Brian Royal goes from Midfield to Forward line.

Now Jade is the VFL coach as well as Development Coach, so effectively we have just replaced Jade with Wayne. We have not gained a new coach, just taken a role off an overworked one ;D

I also think getting a List manager can be handled by CC and FJ, but isn't that effectively what Greg Miller was doing? When Greg was sacked and we were looking for a Football Chief, wasn't CC going to remain the List Manager?

I think we need to get an extra person in that role, to take a burden away from CC, and let FJ do what he does best, identify talent.

Ok I get it. I think.. :headscratch ;D

Not really because Jackson didn't have extra help to cover recruiting at that point. So the situation has changed a little bit at least.
Can always strengthen this area further though.

I can't work out how to post it yet but I can e-mail it to you if you'd like.

as i'm reasonably new to pre, what are peoples thoughts on jade rawlings as developement coach ? Average player for (my) mind, for the posters who watch the ressies, is he a better teacher than was a player ?
and.... as many credentials as brian royal has as a midfielder and mentor to our players.... forward coach ?
maybe teaching our forwards to be forwards from a midfielders view is adaptable, but I think I would prefer an ex forward player to coach the forwards. ?

The last official word was that two recruiting people would be brought in but that Cameron would likely retain "executive control" over list management.

Your making too much sense for most of us mate. Did I read correctly? You want an ex forward to be our forward coach? That's novel. :hihi

Maybe they can but what if one leaves. The point is the best process at a club is to have a dedicated List Mgr, a process that will ensure the club is not unduly affected by personnel changes.

There are quite a few assistant coaches around who are coaching in roles they didn't originally play in. As for Jade Rawiling, Tom Hafey was never a champion player, nuff said. Rawlings seemed to do reasonably at Coburg considering it was his first year as a coach on his own and he was doing 2 jobs.
