Richmond v Collingwood. Richmond 193 Kicks,196 Handballs, Football?

I concur. I went to the dome last night. it even got farcical twice in the game when collingwood charged into the forward line only to find about eight Richmond players.
Not much contested footy at all. As a spectacle I was disappointed with the game.

Don't worry, Ando will fix that too. He's in a think tank as we speak conjuring up the perfect rule change ::)

In the mid-1960's, the percentage of handballs/total disposals was approximately 17% or 1/6. Years for which complete stats are available demonstrate a growing reliance on handball.

Year HB%

1986 33.3
1987 34.1

1989 32.6

Of the past five premiers, only Sydney has not had a handball ratio which significantly exceeded the competition average. Probably has had an influence on our gameplan.

Thanks for the stats, but at this rate it will not be long before they handball back into play after a point, and handball for goal.
