Look I'm an unabashed Caro fan. I find her thoughts to be insightful precisely because she comes from a different perspective. I think she comes in for criticism when commenting/writing about clubs related to her fellow panellists because she has access to information that they don't and doesn't have to push a footy club line.

Theres no doubting she gets it right the majority of the time. That being said she (as well as many others) should stick to football and not the footballers personal lives. This is where its so apparent having archer on the show, he is appalled by some of the things she has reported.

So there you have it, imo Caro definately gets it right way more often than wrong.

Caro copped a pasting last night on several fronts especially the Brayshaw situation which was a typical media beat up of a non-issue.

It is a bit of a non issue but I can't stand the way those Footy Show wankers stick up for each other, whether they're right or wrong. Lyon's such an egotistical windbag and Hutchy just gets the *smile* if someone creates more controversy than him.

One thing I thought Caro did nail them on was the Neville Stibbard sacking. Brayshaw, Archer and others are on record as saying what a great job he has done, but ah, let's sack him anyway?? Obviously more than meets the eye there but Brayshaw has been very conspicuous in his silence on the matter. They'd be better served to explain what happened rather than trot out some tired old party line rhetoric like Brayshaw did on the Footy Show and Archer did last night; both of course with the support of Garry Lyon.

This show is fast becoming the "Caro sticks up for herself while three morons take cheap shots" show.

Lyon spends most of his time trying to score points back off Caro in defence of his mates, Sammy, Jamie and Eddie. Unfortunately, putting together a logical argument is not his strong suit.

Nice guy Archer just gets upset whenever Caro bags North and the rest of the time practices his "I've just been sucking on a lemon" look.

Occasionally, Hutchy tries to break into the conversation so he can say something stupid. Lots of bombastic looks all round in the rare quiet moments complete another fine production.

It would actually be quite good if Caro said anything worthwhile in the first place.

I love the way Archer gets upset when anyone says anything slightly derogatory about North. He's like a two year old that's just had his favourite toy confiscated. He's so naive he actually told Caro she should write postive stuff about the Kangas or nothing at all :rofl :rofl Ah Glen, she's a journo mate, not the NMFC PR Manager. If you need someone to talk up the sorry state of a footy club go and hire Tony Greenberg. And while you're at it can you and all your North cronies stop telling us how well membership etc is going and then get a pissy 23000 to a home game against a Melbourne side!!

Yep he's terrible; offers as much insight to a commentary team as Michael Voss.

She's ok, but I wish she would write about the footy not the gossip. She seems to focus on the backroom stuff and that doesn't do it for me.

And there's a certain vindictiveness that comes up in her columns from time to time. Her comments about Wayne Johnston last year and her ongoing vendetta against G. Miller spring to mind.

Her ongoing vendetta against the Snake Oil Salesman is totally justified IMO. It all stems back to the 2004 election where Miller went on his big "re-elect the bloke who just led us to a $2.2 million loss or I'm leaving as well" campaign. He then managed to weasel his way on to the board where he could protect his arse from those asking genuine questions about the pitiful performance of the football department under his direction.

Agree,no real pressure put on him to answer questions about his ailing club.Archer also defended the staff changes but didn't elude to reasons why staff were ditched.

She waffled on for weeks about how the senior players were not happy with Wallace following the media briefing of his 2011 comments . ON Footy C last year Carey challenged her as to the senior players she spoke to her. She said Kane Johnson. It turned out she was quoting Kane Johnson from the previous year and linked it and that she had not spoken to him after the infamous media briefing. It was sloppy and muckraking.

ONe she got plain wrong was Connolly to Melbourne.

On FC, the night before Connolly is confirmed as new Footy Manager at the Dees she says that there is very little chance of him going back to Melbourne and that her sources confirm he is going elsewhere. With sources like that, you would have to doubt anything she writes at all from her sources.

The players not being happy with Wallace sounded more like she got several bits of information and made an assumption she didn't make up a lie. Besides teh way teh players reacted on the field after Gaspar it would be surprising if they weren't pissed off at Wallace. The Connolly thing sounds like she got the wrong info.

Some guy rang 3AW tonight when Caro was on who was a North supporter and somehow managed to get invited to Archer's house for some supporters BBQ, apparently he asked Archer what he thought of Caro and Archer replied something to the effect of he used to hate her for some of the stuff she wrote but now he respects her and even loves her, if you can believe that, and that she is the first lady of football.

Personally prefer On the Cough on Foxtel. Mike Sheahan had to eat a bit of humble pie after his article.... They showed the cover of the West Australian sports section - fantastic pic of a Tiger with a docker hat (or jumper?) in it's mouth with the headline MAULED.

Beautiful picture, everyone should get a copy, I've taken the mirror off the ceiling and replace it with that picture!
