I’ve got a few signed tiger jumpers. Jack was one of them. Just threw his number 4 in the fire!I nearly dry retched, Jack on 360 talking up Scats v Aints at Sleepy Hollow as the round opener on Thursday night.

Surgery.Where's Garry Lyon???
Billy Brownless was asking how he pulled his back out.Surgery.
Back I believe!
I think there are a lot who hate Geelong now, and the media are reading the tide of public opinion.I am seeing something different in the media about this. They aren’t being afraid to investigate and criticise the cats and the afl for a change. Maybe they’re finally waking up or are finally sick and tired of being treated like fools by those 2 organisations
Every yearAFL always seem to have a couple of geeelong people in the system. Funny enough Geeelong get looked after very well.
I think the media are largely complicit with the media-but there is a limit-and this week we have found it. The media is mostly made up of ex-players and they have all been touched personally by the concussion issue.Credit to Jay Clark , Niall , Caro and others for not backing down on firstly the dodgy signing and secondly going harder at the AFL, SHocking and Drummond for the pathetic little “ nothing to see here” geez I hope this finally causes the field to be evened out when it comes to Geelong .
Lewis and Buckley almost fell off the couch.Well, for those who say Jack Riewoldt doesn't stick up for the Tigers, he just compared, Dogs, Cats, Pies and Tigers u22 lists and said Butters should come to the Tigers, as they've got the code for their next Dynasty.
Leigh Matthews laughed and said going early on a Dynasty. Jono Brown reckons we're 5 years away.
Crawf said something similar on a podcast last week and was slapped down by Buddy.Well, for those who say Jack Riewoldt doesn't stick up for the Tigers, he just compared, Dogs, Cats, Pies and Tigers u22 lists and said Butters should come to the Tigers, as they've got the code for their next Dynasty.

Starting to recognise Jack a little more now…a bit over the top but he’s rightWell, for those who say Jack Riewoldt doesn't stick up for the Tigers, he just compared, Dogs, Cats, Pies and Tigers u22 lists and said Butters should come to the Tigers, as they've got the code for their next Dynasty.

Jack has definitely become more positive about Richmond recently, more akin to where you would expect and hope he would be, it’s betterWell, for those who say Jack Riewoldt doesn't stick up for the Tigers, he just compared, Dogs, Cats, Pies and Tigers u22 lists and said Butters should come to the Tigers, as they've got the code for their next Dynasty.

Obfuscation, arrogant and underhandedOn the media, not footy media this time, I was listening to the ABC in the car this afternoon and they were talking about the Geelong concussion saga.
What really gets me about this, and they actually said this, is that the media are presenting the offence as Geelong not lodging the paperwork with the AFL and not informing the AFLPA (company union) of the contract. Yes, that is a serious issue, but the non-reporting on the waiver is not the full issue. At least as important is the fact that Geelong was ok with requiring a player to sign away their right to sue if their work put them in danger. Concussion is a huge issue, an issue the AFL needs to come to terms with, and an issue that this controversy shows they have no idea how to handle.
We need to make sure the media know that we are not only upset about how Geelong assume they are above the law, but also that we are upset with the fact Geelong thought it was fine to get a player to sign a waiver to avoid responsibility for putting said player in harms way.

I've never got the love for Leigh Matthews as a player. He was one of a crop of very good players but he wasn't a stand out above them in the way a Garry Sr or Wayne Carey were. He is now a dinasaur in the commentary and the weak point of 3AW's coverage. He's the go-to if you want the game judged by 1980s standards but when they've got recently retired players like Sam Docherty on the books, I don't get why they persist in wheeling someone out who is so long out of the gameStarting to recognise Jack a little more now…a bit over the top but he’s right
Yeah…Leigh…the only player I know that got better every year AFTER he retired. I don’t remember anyone saying while he was playing that he was the best footballer of his generation, let alone the 20th century.
Listened to the 3aw commentary on Saturday afternoon…interesting that for such a “legend” his commentary wasn’t insightful at all.
Some Leigh gems - they went up a notch, tougher in the clinches…
No explanation why the game changed…zero nuance, analysis.
I saw KB and Leigh pkay. The fact the KB is not rated a better player is remarkable. At least KB was never deregistered…
The whole AFL industry's approach to concussion is infuriating. The clubs, media and even the fans talk the talk until it's one of their own suspended for a dangerous tackle then it's challenge and defend at 1000 paces. The AFL have done some things to try and slow the game down, but then cop pressure from the broadcasters to speed it back up so their rules are just a jumble of inconsistency. Meanwhile, the insurers have just given the whole industry the middle finger and the clubs are playing players who should be medically retired. I do not for one second think Geelong are on their own in this any more than I think Essendon were in the peptides - they're just the ones who got caught. If the league took this whole issue seriously, the concussion protocols should be 21 days (that's what the report they brought them in on recommended), there should be a 3 concussions and you're retired policy, and the clubs should stop challenging every suspension based on injuring, and potential to injure, the head of an opponent. And the fans should stop bleating about it when one of their own is suspendedOn the media, not footy media this time, I was listening to the ABC in the car this afternoon and they were talking about the Geelong concussion saga.
