Well said Atha Klasso, unfortunately like an alcoholic and like the rest of us you'll probably come back for more.
I still reckon we went downhill after that "lady" ran onto the ground in the '82 grannie. How do we exorcise her?

Unfortunantely like the the punt I am addicted with the Tiges punt rd 64. Have been since 1980 when we slaughtered Fitzroy by 21 goals at the G in 1980. At least I am going better on the punt however.
I am just sick of these so called false dawns x amount of time in the future with players who have no pride. The corporisation of our game has rendered it sterile just being at the game on Sunday it was like watching a dead rubber in the Davis Cup or Australia playing someone of the ilk of Holland at the World Cup of cricket.
Tambling just does my head in apart from 4 goals in a quarter against W Coast what has he done. Terry was initially saying Koori players take longer to develop give him time. Daniel Wells? Bona fide champion from his first year the hype was justified just ask me shattered tiger when he laid the match saving tackle on Rodan in McCartney match in 03 and rendered our 6-2 start useless and our campaign obsolete. Tambling has not been brilliant or breathtaking in that way remember Wells Jackie Chan in Mid air in 04.
Players who have been overpaid or overrated by administrations who have not spent the clubs money wisely and have pillaged the clubs actual resources. Bidding wars with rival clubs we give away Premiership suerstars who excelled at their new clubs so we can pick up matchwinners like Wally Lovett and Terry Domberg Daryl Cowie etc.
False dawns I have woken up to too many of them. This club is a part of me and my mates and its what keeps us bonded and unified and stoic towards others this belief or hope that one day we will be the ones who will be dishing out the punishment week in week out. The club has failed me and every true tiger fan who lives breathes and bleeds the yellow and black. 25 years is a long time to carry the burden of failure the pain of defeat the injustices of others wrongs and the realisation that in all this time we have remained loyal passionate heartfelt stoic for our footy club. The membership figures for this year despite our winning record indicate this as do our crowd figures.
ITS TIME NOW RFC enough is enough show some pride in yourself and show some discression to your supporters and do the right thing. We have suffered through enough ridicule and inept performances lets not become the olden day Saints or Bulldogs and go through a premiershipless lifetime. If any club owes its fans its you RFC
WAKE UP GET IT RIGHT AND GIVE ME SOMETHING TO ACTUALLY CHEER ON MATCH DAY.
Thank you guys for your support and welcoming me to PRE. We are all inexplicably linked by our Love for these Tiggers and our understanding of this morbid image and fantasy we all have. Yellow and black.
Richmond member and supporter born 1974 a Richmond Premiership Year.

Gee Arthur Klasso, some mighty posting on debut. You have summarised 25 years very well.

At Round 22 this year, I celebrate my 30th Anniversary watching Richmond matches. Ironically, it's the same game against the same opposition at the same ground. But what will I really be celebrating?

When I walked out of the MCG that day in 1977, I just knew I would be a Tiger for life. However, I didn't think I would have to endure so much pain.

When I caught the train into the G in those days, the main topic of discussion was how much we would win by? Today, all we seem to talk about is who will be delisted/ traded at seasons end.

For the first time in my life, I can choose to think there is no light at the end of the tunnel. But never in my life will I ever give up hoping that one day, I'll be standing there with a lump in my throat and tears rolling down my face, watching the Tigers do a lap of honour with the premiership cup.

you gotta laugh at these soft *smile* supporters.

how do you think Saints, Cats, Doggies and Demon supporters feel ?

get over it...we aren't that far off from finals footy...2009 isn't far away is it...

and when we get there...rest assured we will be playing finals year in year out...

TW is busting his guts to turn these guys into a formidable unit
Maybe TW is, but I'm far from convinced that the players are busting their guts. I want to see evidence that they're hurting the way we hurt after spiritless performances like the 2nd half on Sunday.

i dont mind losing, i just hate the fact that we are the softest club around and a laughing stock

we need to address our lack of physicality and earn some respect

we need teams to know that they have played us, and teams to know win lose or draw they will get hurt when they meet us

Agree with your sentiment Tango, but the trouble is we have very few people who are genuine hardnuts. Toughness is a trait you are born with, you can't just become tough all of a sudden. Unfortunately our hardest nut in Coughlan is out for the year. Polak has shown signs of standing up for the troops, but we need some genuine hardnuts in the line up I agree. Maybe Connors will be able to provide us with a bit of this in time.
