28 years since a flag,numerous coaches,draft picks,presidents,poor performances,platinum member(in my case),who has savoured finals football before all this;I believe that it is high time that a bit of arse up/head down is required at this club.For too long,people at Richmond have not been accountable,taking the easy options above the hard tasks.Tanking is one of these.What ever happened to the bush recruiters who got us the Harts,bourkes,weightmans?Just because someone can run fast,jump high,do 30000 pushups,does not mean that they can play football.Since our halcyon days we have relied on the memory;forgotten what it takes;and whinged about what might have been.Solutions?

I believe that the club has let itself be pushed aside with the advent of the new co tenants at the MCG.Melbourne as well.We ruled this ground in the past.

Punt Rd has been left underdeveloped far too long.Probably our best revenue earner is still Grand Final day.Not enough for such an asset.

Our committees/boards have had far too many hangers-on rather than doers in recent times.Needs to change.

The football dept has struggled to find true leaders mainly due to our basketcase persona.They are trying,and looking at the 2nds and 3rds,there is an emerging depth.Something that has shown out at this club before given that we were,and possibly still are the only club to have won premierships in each division in the one year.Little league included.This did not happen with draft picks,but with a proper aim throughout the club.

Finally our supporters,the backbone of any club,have not been tapped into/but relied on.Richmond should have easily 45000 members every year.The base is there/just look at the attendances compared to other clubs.Imagine what could be done if that was the case.
