For The Sake Of Our Long Term Future Its Time To Start 'The Tank'

Ah ffs people today has more than shown that we are a rabble in the need of quality players. For those claiming that early draft picks are not the be all and end all then have a look at one T. Cotchin. The kid oozes class. But no those with their heads in the sand still want to win those extra 1 or 2 games just to save some sort of face. Face facts people we are the laughing stock already of the AFL. Winning another couple of games wont change that perception. The clubs main focus now is to make sure they land 2 of NATANUI, RICH, HURLEY or another kid that will replace the imposters currently running around in a Richmond jumper.
If today is an indication of things to come and this is what you're advocating, it's hard to see many other explanations for the complete turnaround after half time, then they've just lost a supporter. We've been crap for over 20 years, we've had top picks, we've changed coaches, we've chucked out all the players and replaced them, nothing has worked. Why would the players going out and giving less than their best to gain one or 2 players make that much difference? Great way to build a winning culture, deliberately lose, all that does is perpetuate the loser culture that has infected this once great club like a cancer since 1983.

I don't subscribe to the theory that tanking builds a losing culture.

If you dominate a game then deliberately lose it, you walk away confident, in control.

Every week the players would have a sense of power and control over the game - even if they lose. The culture would more likely be about taking the game into your own hands and shapingit however you desire.

I'm not advocating tanking (as much as I'd love Rich or Naitanui...) but if a team ever did intentionally go out to lose then I don't believe it would turn the club into a rabble like some people are suggesting.

So let me get this right. Basically you're saying we should tank the next 11 games? If so mate the Tigers might be the laughing stock of the AFL but right know that makes you the laughing stock of PRE. What crap!
