Carlton beat us by 83 points
Western Bulldogs beat us by 47 points
Carlton beat Western Bulldogs by 43 points

Form line suggests 83 - 47 = 36 that Carlton should have beaten the Western Bullldogs by 6 goals - they beat them by 7 goals
Therefore that form line looks pretty close to the mark. If so then

Carlton beat us by 83 points
Swans beat Carlton by 17 Points

That could mean we are in for a 100 point thrashing this weekend.

If only it was so easy we would all make a fortune out of the TAB.

I went to the Swans v Carlton game at the SCG (holidaying on Sydney's northern beaches at the time) and Carlton should have been 5 or 6 goals up at quarter time but for inaccurate kicking. The Swans then shut down Carlton's in and under mid-fielders thus choking the ball to Judd, Murphy and Stevens and then out muscled the Carlton players to win a tough hard inside (the packs) style of game.

We need muscle this weekend - Coghlan, Tuck, Hislop, Thompson in the guts feeding Foley, Delidio and White. Jackson on Kirk to just negate - nothing more. We could surprise the Swans in the mid-field and I am sure our backline can get on top of the out of form Swans forward line - O'Keefe especially. Can our forwards kick a winning score against a tight pack playing defence on the small SCG is the question?

As Sydney are not renowned for their big winning margins I feel the form line of 100 points is not realistic - but an 8 to 10 goal win in their favour is possible if we do not muscle up inside the packs...........

Who would you play in the midfield to combat the Sydney mauling pack style of play?
