PUNT ROAD END | Richmond Tigers Forum

Has our forward finally got some bite?
Currently (excluding injuries) our six main forwards, are unlike each other.

Name Characteristics Opposition requirement
Richo: Tall, strong, hard running. Tall opposition, may draw an additional defender

Browny Silky skills will draw a better defender

Bowden Can play tall, mobile a tall defender is required

Jackson Fast on lead, good mark pacey defender, but tall is preferred

Pettifer Good mark (feature) running and good marking defender

Kacks good ground level fast but skilly defender will beat.

Throw in Stafford, when fit and when required in the forward set up.

If Bowden and Jackson keep providing leads and obtain their share of the ball, it places great pressure on the opposition to mark Richo with two men, Browny will be left one on one, leaving Pettifer to roam centre, half forward flank, with Kraks doing his thing at ground level.

It’s been awhile since we haven’t directed our forward thrusts continuously at Richo. .
