Forwardline from HELL

Nothing in the mould of J. Brown at CHF, more like a forward line from a McDonald's birthday party.

CHF is a vacant lot at the moment for sure. If Polak could kick, he'd be serviceable. But Freo tried that so lets not repeat it.

What are we going to do with Polak?

Personally I'd stick him in a back pocket next to Thursty.

If that doesn't work I don't know where it leaves him. Coburg maybe..

Tell you what I'd like to see in our forward line in '08; a set play from a stoppage. I don't care what the line-up is, just load the spine when there is a throw-in in the pocket (or insert appropriate stoppage of play here) rather than bunch around the rucks. It lets the opposition run it freely out the other side (or up the guts) when we fail to crumb the pill because there is no-one there to pressure the ball carrier.

But on the topic; I don't agree with Patto in there. I notice Petts was getting in the action at Echuca - feels at home in the country I s'pose. Maybe the leadership role will sit well with him. Like Lids floating in there but not as a full-time forward. Maybe rotating through the mid-field with Tuck while Petts is resting on the woodwork?

Sadly Geoffrey i must agree, the Richmond Football Club Forward line has on face value many options to utilise however most of the options have glaring skill or mental toughness deficiencies, or lack defensive aspects to their games also others that havent developed or improved.

I don't think Brown, Pettifer and Morton can operate effectively in the same forward line. They are all very similar players with little to no defensive side to their game.
