If you listen to him on the NBL, every point scored is the most exciting thing that's ever happened to him, and he tries to squeeze in every American basketball term into each 24 second shot clock period.

Who cares? We got smashed. If we are worried about the commentators, we are focussing on the wrong things.

Last week u had liam pickering and alistar lynch heading the game for Bris V saints...
Also there replays on Tues and Wed are edited meaning not full games shown...
Lynch and Frawley doing the game intro....OMG...these two struggle to construct sentences that make any sense at all, let alone sentences that make no sense.
And to think, last year we were listening to the sultry sounds of Clinton Grybas and this year we have to deal with the basketball commentator trying to describe a game of football. Evidenced by, when Sydney kicked a goal after the siren, we get "and it is waved away"....that's basketball speak. He also refers to quarters as "periods"....how can we not find better commentators than blokes like this??

It's also the camera work and editing (if that's what you call which camera or shot to use). The camera is in close when it should be further back, and visa versa. They too often miss the action, with the camera chasing the footy. They show pointless replays instead of live action, and fail to show replays of important parts of the game. It's almost as if whomever is in charge knows nothing about Aussie Rules.
And after all this, have the audacity to tell us what wonderful coverage they provide!
Talk about believing your own publicity!In fairness, the other channels are no better. Perhaps they spent so much on the TV rights that can't afford to provide anything less the the cheapest possible coverage.
