I dunno if it's just me or not.  I mean, after all, I was giving a bottle of Grants a fair hiding while watching the Tiges v Freo and I was getting pretty testy with the umps anyway.

But I was absolutely appalled with the FoxFooty commentary for the entire match.  I honestly don't know how we were able to hear Tim Gossage most of the night as he seemed to spend most of the game well and trully up the backsides of various Freo players.  My favourite was when he jumped in with "Ooh, you could really see Farmer upping the physical pressure on Richmond then."  Now firstly, Farmer did nothing and from memory was beaten in the contest.  And secondly, since when has Jeff Farmer ever imposed physically on any game.  He's a pack skirting, speccy hunting, typical Freo downhill skier who's never won a hard ball in his life.

It really put me off the match in the end.  These guys need to be told that they are commentating on a national station and that the purple morons outside the box can't hear them, so they needn't fear for their safety getting to the car anyway.  I was really disappointed that FoxFooty would be so flagrantly biased.

Or have I gone mad?

It wasn't the booze, hopper, that was a dreadfully biased, totally unprofessional call by all involved on Saturday night.

I agree,all Wilson did all night was go on about the tiger turnovers even when we were winning.Why did he never mention something like great effort this without Richo,Brown,Deledio etc!

Agree with what most have said about Wilson and his "Tiger turnovers"... :

The commentators were however mystified by some of the umpiring decisions that TW raised, particularly the Pettifer deliberate out-of-bounds one.

Just shows you how disgraceful certainumpiring decisions were when even these biased WA comentators were talking about them in shock and amazement! :-\

Commentators?Those Pherigians on Saturday Night coudnt call a flamin chook raffle at a bingo nite in Beechworth,let alone lend something thats close to meaningful commentary......... :-X :

I live in WA and have more contact with Goosage's foolery. If commercial TV set professional standards then his presence in it would be mystifying, but he is at the same channel which has Rove McManus as a major 'personality'.

I must say for those who live outside of Perth, you don't know how fortunate you really are. Over here not only do we have to put up with that 'A' grade tool, Tim Gossage, but he actually gets a run for his money off an equally 'A' grade tool in Basil Zempilas.

After reading all the posts about how bad the Fox guys were, the radio commentators, being heard through 3AW, were actually pretty good.  
I was expecting the normal biased call, but the special comments, especially, were very unbiased.  They actually made mention just after it happened, and at the end of the game, of the Polo incident, and how to them it looked a mark.  They overall gave Richmond as much credit as Freo, and given we had many younger players, and playing away from home, we had a lot to look forward to.

Is that the same Peter Wilson who played for us in the early 90s, if so I'm pretty sure he is not very fond of the Tiges. Not sure why because he was getting well paid when he played over here. At one stage he "owned" the London Tavern.
