Sadens me to say but the Hawks will have more onfield success than us in the coming years. They have been alot more patient (mainly due to tanking, have cleaned up the draft last 3 or so years) and have been rebuilding their list with so many quality kids. In 3-4 years time they will be a genuine flag chance. I feel more sorry for us than the Hawks.

Mikee, do you mean the same way St.Kilda did? You know - that team that finished eighth this year, sacked their coach and haven't played in a GF yet despite reportedly having the best list in the comp for the last 3 years. Sorry for being sarcastic, just having a little fun. I'm just not completely sold on the "bottoming out is the only way up" theory. I reckon environment has a lot to do with it. And if the hawks wanna bring a spud into the environment then I say good on them! Hopefully they put junior development, tactics and man managment in his responsibilities. :hihiMikee said:

Good response Hopper.
Hopefully the spud can become coach and teach the hawks the "chip it sideways go nowhere, flood when you're 50 pts down game-plan" too. 
Unfortunately i think the Hawks are on the right track and will do really well. This upcoming draft is crucial to us. WE MUST USE ALL OUR PICKS AND NOT TRADE ANY, and hopefully they all turn out to be champions. ;D
