Frawley v Walla$e & Miller whos to blame for our current situation?

Very tricky with the politics, but ex-coaches who don't want the senior coach's job anymore are valuable.

What like wayne brittan? :duh

Has to be the right ex coach as we sadly found out, but i think your right.....sheedy will never coach us, its too late for him now, but he still could have some value for us!!

Sheedy is the Richmond version of Lassiters (?) Reef. We have wasted time, tears, and coaches in our obsession to get him to our club. And what did we get for it......nothing. The only one who benefited was Sheedy, because he knew reliable Richmond would always bite, and help him boost his value at the Essendon negotiating table.

Funny how his contract is up again this year.....

Lets not be suckered again. I don't care if it is as coach, Football Manager, or Chief Bottle Polisher, lets not chase him for once in our lives. If he wants to come here, let him apply like everyone else and we can then choose whether we want him or not.

While I posted before about the terrible drafting and that is a problem, to me the bigger problem is that our development of players is at best patchy.

This is a good point. But I would also say we have missed out on far too many good players over the years, particularly key forwards. In the end of the day players like Pavlich would be stars no matter where they played. These are the types of players we have let slip for far too long!

Correction, you missed out on Judd not Pavlich.

WOO-HOO!!!! :clap :clap :clap

I thought I was the only one on this forum who thought this way.......have posted similar before and been shouted down, about what a legend Sheedy is, and we need him, blah, blah, blah. ::)

Sheedy has been playing with us for years.

I remember being at a Tiger Lilies (then, "Hafeys Ambush" function) up on the Lincoln-on-Toorak back in the...gee, late-90s( ???), and Sheedy was a special guest, and when asked if he would even come back and coach Richmond, he answered, "You never know", with that smarmy little grin on his face.
Felt like giving him one in the mouth that night too.... :boxing

I wouldn't count on that Turbo....we do have a good record being a club that recruits kids with so-called "sublime skills", only to see them disappear and get worse, season after season. :-[

Gold Lamb22. 24 Carat Gold. :rofl

It's pretty simple guys, Sheedy has won 4 priemerships since we last won one!!!........you can take pot shots at him all you like, he'll keep grinning at you, his side is up and about a lot better than us - FACT.

Wallace cannot coach - stop kidding yourselves, he's the Paul Keating of media manipulation....you same people will have the same discussions here next year, nothing will change.

whos to blame heh. a very good question. in a word miller.or he is more culpable than the others. in his sixth yr. crap list management crap recruiting. and a quick fix merchant.

There is no one to blame. The plan is in progress. The older players have fallen away faster than the younger ones can pick up the slack.

The young pick ups are developing.

Wake up.

Well said CT we have being trying to lay blame for the last twenty years and look how far that has got us. Yeah lets just sack everybody and start from stratch, because they are all responsible in some shape or form.

And this helps us how? He was NEVER going to come here, and I'll be surprised if he ever DOES. He uses us to boost his price with the Bombers everytime, and everytime we fall for it like suckers.

Remember Northey left particially because we would not extend his contract to left it overlap Sheedy's because he knew we were desperate to get him. When it comes to Sheedy we are like a 14 year old boy and a supermodel. All talk and hope, but always walking home alone.

I'm with CT and Gus here. The Richmond mentality seems to be that whenever anything goes wrong, sack everyone and start all over. This attitude is what has prevented the club from getting anywhere near the last week in September since 82.

Couldn't agree more GT12 & Carn. Too many people expect a silver bullet to solve Richmond's problems and this has been going on for 25 years. If there was no silver bullet produced then the blame game, finger pointing and general feral behaviour runs rampant - a need to sacrifice all and sundry is demanded and to start anew. Then we go through the cycle again and again. It is a self fulfilling prophecy. Madness.

Wallace is out best chance in over 2 decades. The best we can do as supporters is let him focus on the task at hand rather than for him to worry about those who do not have the patience beyond seeking a silver bullet solution.

Frawley is to blaim for the sad excuse for a list, Miller in not far behind. Wasting 2 first rnd picks on Meyer and Pattison is unforgivable in my opinion .
Wallace I will give 2 more drafts to prove himself before I give in.
I was a miller fan but to be honest couldn't care less if he left.
I am happy with the off feild condition of the club and as a member will continue to financially support the club.
Frawley is and was a cancer at our club and should be banned from making comments about our on feild position as he is the route cause.

I believe Meyer was Wallace's choice.

Meyer, I could sort of handle (but not when I look at Monfries) and as for Pattison - god help us - we all knew Woods was on obvious big man pick.

I know that everyone here seems to pump up Woods, but what has he done? He's been in the system for the same length of time as Patto, but has played half as many games and looks lost when he's out there. For the love of God, he won a Rising Star nomination for 5 possessions. Slow week that week. Yes, he's 204cm, but he hasn't got much else. Jamie Charman is out of form, but Brisbane are still happy to go without Woods, so he can't be that good. Heck, even Big Beau McDonald gets a game ahead of him.

Maybe I'm sounding like Al Clarkson, but I'm happy to defend our man Patto and say that right now, for all of his flaws, he is better.

Meyer and Patto maybe around a while, but IMO they are starting to have the same wasted reek as Poyas and Gilmour (both relatively high picks also).

Monfries hasn't been that great though. I reckon Meyer could produce as much as Monfries if he was given the same opportunities.

Think you will find Patto will be around for awhile not so sure about Meyer.
