Frawley is to blaim for the sad excuse for a list, Miller in not far behind. Wasting 2 first rnd picks on Meyer and Pattison is unforgivable in my opinion .

I believe Meyer was Wallace's choice.

Meyer, I could sort of handle (but not when I look at Monfries) and as for Pattison - god help us - we all knew Woods was on obvious big man pick.

I know that everyone here seems to pump up Woods, but what has he done? He's been in the system for the same length of time as Patto, but has played half as many games and looks lost when he's out there. For the love of God, he won a Rising Star nomination for 5 possessions. Slow week that week. Yes, he's 204cm, but he hasn't got much else. Jamie Charman is out of form, but Brisbane are still happy to go without Woods, so he can't be that good. Heck, even Big Beau McDonald gets a game ahead of him.

Maybe I'm sounding like Al Clarkson, but I'm happy to defend our man Patto and say that right now, for all of his flaws, he is better.

Fair points Pokey. Woods must be doing little in the lower grades in Queensland not to get a recall, though I thought Charman was good against the Dogs tonight.

Monfries hasn't been that great though. I reckon Meyer could produce as much as Monfries if he was given the same opportunities.

Overall, after No.5 it hasn't been a great draft yet

Wood is still only 21. See where he is in a couple of years.

How old is Patto? Let's see where he is in a couple of years. :P

Charman was better tonight, but he was against Street and Darcy. Generally, I do rate Charman, but he has been a fraction off his best this year.

lol @ Hokey Pokey getting stuck into Shiny Disco Balls for baggin Patto :rofl

As an aside, how good has this weekend for the footy punt for leysy.

Bombers into Swans into Dogs.

Thank your mother for the rabbits.

Now does Leysy roll it onto his best one (The Kangas) tomorrow.....

Certainly are value the Kangas. Bookies are setting markets on pre-season expectations, not form.

Got to say that ATM, patto is ahead of wood, i think there is a lot of upside to patto to improve over the coming years and when i say improve i mean his skill level. His ruck work has improved immensely and he has a great motor but the main thing that is getting him in trouble is his kicking and handballing which isn't up to standard ATM. Strangely enough i do see him as player who will rise to another level next year and the year after.

On Meyer wow i really don’t know, if he can’t get senior game time more so than not by years end there is a strong possibility that his name could be bandied around during trade talks. This is a personal opinion i really don’t think Meyer believes in his own ability or simply doesn’t have the tools to be the player we want him to be. That’s the difference between patto and meyer, patto is a trier and hard at it and u see it in his footy even with all the mistakes that he wants to be a successful player where as meyer im not so sure, he needs to work harder that is a given but he needs to have the "will and the want" to be a successful player and i don’t see that at the minute even though he is blessed with sublime skills.

Just on Mitchell Clarke great hands and moves well but he’s kicking is woeful and had he been at Richmond and was marking but missing goals consistently most tiger supporters would be saying why pick a guy who cant kick we have enough of those guys already.
As with patto if Clarke can straighten up his kicking then he too will be a rising player in years to come.
