Free Agency is the key to keeping our Premiership era alive.

Before FA the draft and trading was the only way to access new talent. Finishing high meant poor picks which limited your trade hand and despite being a destination club prevented clubs from dominating for too long

RFC is now the no.1 club in the country..........long gone are the days of player managers (like Pickering) laughing at our player development and all now recognise the benefits to getting their clients to the RFC.

If we are smart then we are well placed to pick the best free agency talent next year and beyond. If both Cotchin and Riewoldt retire at the end of next season only Lynch and Martin will be on over 600-700k a year. Our capacity to attract the likes of Cripps and Kelly will be higher than any of the other competing clubs.

The AFL are over the RFC but the playerss association greed and Gillignas complete failure to keep them in check will likely lead to our domination for years to come....stand by for the next big fish!

The resulting salt will be at epic proportions.
