Freo hammer Carlscum

So what do the people who last week said how good Carlton is have to say now?

yep thinking the same thing, someone even started a thread here and like oldie said it is a practice match after all but considering its the last major hit out before RD 1 with a full squad they would be feeling a little uneasy with this belting, blues now dont have the luxury to work on things over the next few weeks to iron out some deficiencies...

Can't read much into practice match form.
No doubt the Blues will be a tough first round opponent.

I see great wisdom in those words......

I agree TB but it goes both ways. I could image the response on PRE if the RFC had been beat by Freo!

But we beat freo!

It was great news to read that the scum were belted! I think with a near strength side and lose by that much will hurt their confidence. It happened again only one avenue to goal in the goose fevola.
I don't believe that when we meet them in round 1 that it will be an easy game but we do have more potent forwards. If we work on our conversion during the week. We could give them our own belting and that would be a great way to start the season.
Bring it on Carlscum!

Fox Sports reporting this arvo that Fev injured his ankle and faces a race against time to be fit for Rnd1. Wiggins reported too.

I think that for all of those people who say " i would rather face Carlscums fully fit first 22 in round 1. "

Need to remember that either way it's 4 points and that's all we want. I dont care who we beat and why. As long as those 4 points start racking up on consistant and improving basis.

Did anyone care to mention that in our darkest years we got flogged by various soon to be premiers ? NO !
Did they care ? NO

Show no MERCY !!! I *smile* well say !!!

Other reports said he came back onto the ground after the injury, which suggests it wasn't too bad

They'll definitely need him to beat us. I expect him to play round 1.
Fev's a star no doubt, yet again he kicked a bag the rest not much.
100(99 ;D) goals from him last season wasn't enough for the Blues lift the Blues into the 8 and it looks as though they are still struggling for other avenues to goal.
Ratten needs another forward if they are to really improve this season proper. They haven't yet revealed themselves..

Fisher isn't that bad up forward. Takes a good grab, but not sure about his conversion rate.

Heard from a mate last night who was at the game. Reckons Sandilands was the difference between the two teams. Freo killed them in the middle, and it was down to Sandilands.

So at the end of the day, might be worth running with Browne as the second ruckman, just to see if he can do the same.
