That's a new one for me.

I didn't know you could de-list a contracted player, unless you were prepared to pay out his contract.

If only one of them is going to get rookied by the Dockers, then I think it would be Mourish. Can't see why you'd expose supposed talent like Dunn (Pick 10, 2003) or Collard to the ND/PSD if they actually had any talent or didn't have considerable baggage.

Mourish has all the tools, is a good size and plays aggressively, but attitude is badly lacking. The Dockers thought they had a steal when they drafted him, and I seem to recall talk at the time suggesting they had stashed him away from other teams prying eyes.

If you could get himn to knuckle down and have a crack, he could turn out to be a player.

Not for us though. Looks like a KPF type, and I think we have enough projects in that area.

My understanding is that drafted players get a mandatory 2 year contract, so freo will be paying CC about $60K next year! He must have become a very close friend of Harv's missus or something???????

He was 18yo prior to the 1st of January the year after his draft therefore 1 year contract is all that's required unless they've changed the rule in the last year, tgw.

Sorry, seems like I got this wrong, tgw. Papers reporting they were contracted. I'll see if I can find the rule again.

Probably because other club's cast offs are generally better than our cast offs.
