Polak might be the recruit of the year, you just don't know.
The only thing that pisses me off is that we traded our 3rd round pick, this could be the loss of a handy defender or the like.
Life goes on.
Wallace must think we aren't to far off something special.
If Tambo,Jon,Cass and a few more of the kids continue to improve I beleive we will be closer than we think.
Polak has got youth on his side also and with a QUALITY coach who knows what will happen.
Lets get behind our new recruit.
I guess that's why some of us are so annoyed about this deal. It does appear that Wallace does think we 'aren't too far off something special' when we don't. We look at four 100 point (or close enough to) thrashings this year (after Wallace had declared that in the 2006 season no more massacres would be considered one of the KPI for improvement). And we also take into account that out of the 11 wins (a bare improvement of one on the previous season) 7 were against the bottom four sides (of whom 3 we had the good fortune to play twice). Viewing these facts objectively, for Wallace to be so delusional to think that we 'aren't too far off something special' is sobering to say the least, for him to act upon it and throw away a top 10 pick to secure a dud (at least that's the prominent darkside view of Polak) is heartbreaking in the extreme. Because you just don't do that when there is so much rebuiding left to do...unless you're Richmond of course....
