There's a poll on http://afl.com.au/ about which team did best in the draft and you don't even get the choice of Scumwood.  :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl

Because too many Scumwood supporters would clog up the website clicking continously.... :hihi

greg beck is not at collingwood.

So dont blame it on him.

Blame it on Malthouse, he once again has overulled the recruiting department.

Great to see a NSW lad make the draft - no. 27 Bulldogs selected Dylan Addison from St George District NSW - that happens to be the club my 15yo son (previous marriage) plays at - there is a lot of raw talent up in Sydney - just needs some professional mentoring to polish it up.

Hope this is the start of the AFL inflitrating into the minds and hearts of Sydney's sporting youth........RT

i thought carlton did very well with murphy kennedy bower and edwards the son of butch.in one draft they have almost obtained a spine.
agree Carlton and Dawks did well but they did have top pics ..I was a bit suprised the Dawks went for so many KPPs would have thought they needed midfielders
Was suprised at the Bulldogs ,Scumwoods and Aints pics (interesting that Rix went to the Aints)
Hoping we pick up Scott Meyer in the PSD
Word up. Hawks fan here.

We only took 1 KP, in Dowler. Ellis, Tuck and Muston are mids, Bailey is a ruck and Birchall is a utility/mid/wing/flanker that could potentially be moulded into a KP.

There was alot of talk back in November about Collingwood's draft selections.
Would be interested to hear comments almost nine months on?
I've also heard some compare Scott Pendlebury to a Nick Dal Santo type. I'll go one step better and say, he has Anthony Koutafides written all over him.
I've watched Pendlebury play four games now and I dont think I've seen him make a mistake.
Futhermore, you may try linking this post with another top five pick readily discussed on this site and attempt to understand the difference between players who may be as good as the McLeods of this competition.

Take a look at his clanger count for that game.

Does Dale Thomas ever have an opponent? He always seems to be running around by himself. And what happened to the comment that some young players are too skinny and not ready for the rigours of AFL. It doesn't seem to worry him too much.

some well analysed discussion of what the Tigers should/may draft:

http://www.hawkheadquarters.com/forums/showthread.php?t=22898

Same post is floating around big footy from a new poster who claims to be a Richmond supporter. A bit weird?

I believe

4. Tomas Bellchambers (Tas) good tap Ruckman. Good mark. Clark Keating.
5. Aaron Joseph (Tas) tough in and under player. Tagger/ or h.b.f/ b.p - Steven Baker
6. Craig Bird (N.S.W) leadership qualities. hard at it / good at clearances. Brett Kirk.

are not eligible.

If what's been said on the Hawk Headquarters link is true , then someone should send a copy of it to Terry.

Tackling, one percenters and clearances are incredibly important.

If what was said is true then we get flogged when we lose because we do not impart enough pressure on opposition teams.
