I know we lost, and I hate losing like the next Richmond supporter, but, I am so proud of the boys today. They showed such spirit and never gave in. In the end I think we ran out of legs, but I have been so encouraged by today's effort. I really believe this group has a lot to look forward to.
Carn the Tiges. :gotigers
It was a good effort but don't be proud of a loss.

Anyone else worried that we were going to get absolutely thumped? Thought we obviously lacked skill (relative to the Swans) but tried to make up for it in terms of endeavour. The consistent ferocity of most of the players was worthy of praise.

I don't think you read too well, do you MB?
My first sentence states that I am dissapointed with a loss as I hate losing, but what I am proud of is the spirit and attitude displayed by our boys.
I am proud to be a supporter of the RFC.

My apologies

Agreed ppt, only got to hear the game but it sounds like we showed a hell of a lot more grit out there - let's hope we can keep it up and confidence will grow.

Me too Ms. Tantie, me too.

Look I hate to raise a negative. But did anyone else get the impression that in a game which was man on man for most of the game and required everyone to really tackle hard and run hard that Richard Tambling wasn't able to keep his end up.

The tackling and commitment was remarkably even for the majority of players on the park but Bling couldn't seem to get to the standard and it seemed very rare for him to actually show his pace (I remember two sprints). Compare his game to Kraks - laid bruising effective tackles and go to a lot of contests and had a real impact (particularly on Leaping Leo).

Just felt that Tambling's man seemed to get himself free too often and too quickly, think the desperation everywhere else and the type of game it was showed him up to an extent. Is it time for a run at Coburg for Bling?

You have a point BT. I was watching the match and all I could keep thinking is when is this Tambling kid going start having a major influence on the match. Cameos are not enough.

Totally agree. He is lazy & refuses to put his body on the line in a contest. If he is scared of getting injured - play for Coburg!
