PUNT ROAD END | Richmond Tigers Forum

Hi all,

Just got back from training at the Gabba. Training was mainly some stretching followed by a lap and then kick to kick and kick for goal...pretty light stuff as you would expect. Key points:

1. Browny trained...didn't do a hell of a lot of movement. Spent about 10 mins with Matt Hornsby while everyone else started the kicking drill. Hard to say whether he'll play but my bet is he will. They wouldn't have brought him up if he was a definite no show and he didn't do enough to pull up sore tomorrow.

2. Danny Meyer didn't make the trip. Staff and Axel did. I couldn't see anyone else who may pull out other than Browny, so I'd say they're back up only. If either plays it will be Staff as conditions will be fine for marking which obviously suits him more than Foley.

3. I'm expecting us to kick well for goal tomorrow night. I counted at least 10 posters in the kick for goal drill (Bling with abour 4 to himself). I reckon they've got all of that out of the way tonight and because they are so close with the kicking tonight, they'll improve for tomorrow night.

4. Lids kicked an absolute freak goal right in front of me. It was no fluke either.. this guy has it all.

5. I reckon Richmond would have to be the most fan-friendly club at the moment. After training, every single player came to the crowd to sign autographs and have a chat. Joel Bowden was great asking all of the kids what their names are and just generally chatting away. Terry is great with the fans as well, he was the last one to leave and the football managers had to literally pull him away because the bus was waiting...great to see.

6. David Rodan is the nicest AFL player I have ever met. He was all smiles and more than happy to chat etc. You could just sense that he was brought up well and was taught to be friendly to all.

7. Tucky is an absolute monster...he scares me just when he's being nice and chatting to everyone. I'd hate to cross him on the footy field :nailbiting

8. Bling looks like he's settled in quite well. Last time I saw him train, he was a bit shy, today he was wrestling guys and playing funny buggers with all of the boys.

All in all I'm expecting a spirited showing tomorrow night. :gotigers
