Game day opinions - Richmond v Port Adelaide

Just watching Mark Williams interview on fox - what a absolute arrogant person. He really didn't give Richmond the credit we were due for beating them and when asked about Richmond making the finals or final contenders on two occassions he shrugged his shoulders and raised his eyebrows as if to say well you have to be joking. Now that is fine and I agree we probably wont make the finals but for a coach to come out and be so "well they didnt beat us we did", it makes me want to spew!!!

Awww Sour Grapes Chocko!!! Granted your team played like SHIZEN for 3.6 quarters, but even so, the team your playing against still has to make the most of their opportunities, and why wouldn't we capatalise when the team you coach provided us with a poor opposition today? What, did you think your team was the only one that took advantage of their home ground and pumped travelling teams on their days out? Maybe if your team wasn't so cocky early in the second quarter I could have reserved some sympathy.... hmmm then maybe not, I hate Port Adelaide.

Put simply, we were the better team on the day.  :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl

Now I give you the two finger salute.  >:D

Congrats Richo on a FINE 200th game, congrats to Simmonds, Brown, Tuck, Pettifer, Lids, Kellaway and the rest of the team for playing a solid game, and finally congrats to BLING and MEYER for a such a promising debut, you kids are going to be something.  :hihi :hihi  :clap :spin

WELL DONE TIGERS.

I've got it already, but keep waiting it's too early.

Let's still keep masticating on Port Adelaide ;D

Cant wait TGN - it will become a avatar to look forward to each week as the season goes by. Keep up the good work mate.

TT, we may not make the finals, but neither will Port! Stuff Williams! Oh how sweet it is!

*  Pettifer deserves praise for today, and for a few other fine efforts this year.
*  Brown is a Star and will continue to show more than he needs to become truly respected by RFC fans.
*  Richo did extra-ordinarily well today and deserves every accolade for a fine example.  Truly coming of age is our Richo.  Let's hope you can finish your career off in the next few years with an abundance of exactly what happened today.
*  Shane Tuck is an absolute hard nut gem.  Thankfully he is at Tigerland and not down at the Dawks.
*  Delidio is very silky and a pleasure to watch.
*  Symmonds played his best today and was very, very good in the Ruck.  Good on you Troy.
*  Meyer looked very exciting.  Poised and without rush.  Let's see him get more game time.
*  Newman was hard at it today and it was good to see his contribution.
*  Tambling knows where the ball is, and all he needs is for his team mates to know how to play to him.  He tackled brilliantly and chased like there was no tomorrow.
*  Gaspar is back on track and ate up his role in the back line.
*  Kellaway was very courageous and must have been super excited to have kicked a snap banana goal.
*  I saw Wallace mouth the following words to Gaspar at the team huddle after the demolition of last years Premiers ............. "That was FANTASTIC !!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

i walked into the cougar bar at half time with my girlfriend, and i bumped into a friend. i said to him: the first quarter was the worst of the year, and the second quarter was the best of the year. little did i know that the best was yet to come  ;D

tuck beating 2 oppononents and winning the free kick was the turning point of the game. he was clearly best on ground.

kicking 19 goals (18 after quarter time) was very encouraging.

deledio had the ball on the string in the 3rd quarter playing on a wing and his use of the ball is so classy.

tambling and meyer had impressive debuts. while they didn't get a lot of the ball, they did some good things. tambling gave a couple of very nice goal assists. he just needs to learn not to get ahead of himself.

i saw williams on the post match interview, and i was ecstatic to see the smirk wiped off his face. but he was very disrespectful towards us i reckon. i can really describe what he said, but i didn't like his tone.

i also wanna make a comment on the crowd. 21,000 was a disgrace!! where are the supporters? we have 27,000 members and it was richo's 200th game. in comparison, footscray got 27,000 for grants 300th game against the crows. we should be getting 30,000+ for these types of games. we need to make the place hostile for interstate teams.

but all in all, very happy with my day. despite the fact i tipped richmond, the biggest reality of today is this: last years wooden spooners beat last years premiers!!! who would have thought that during the summer?

Best moment of game for me waas MR PICKETT changing his mind and pulling out of a strong physical clash/ bump following looking up and seeing that it was Simmo ;D
