Game day The Mighty Tigers vs The Old Codger Hawks

5th all because the Lions lead in PF. Time to get these top 8 cloggers out of the way.

We will be fine mate, it’s a marathon not a race.
The cloggers like Brisbane will fall way over the coming weeks.
We just need to keep banking wins and developing our depth.
Once our stars are back fully fit we will make a full assault for top 4.

Anyone hear Stalking Brian mention we haven't lost to a Victorian team at the G for 33 months? Has he forgotten the Scum did it twice?
He does his research that old BT. On Friday night he said (and I forget who the player was to be honest), as he was lining up for a shot that he had kicked 8 straight this season. McAvaney mentioned that he hadn't scored at all this year.

I reckon the game still showed our one weakness...a team with quality talls will hurt us...cegglar (i can't spell) looked to be causing is issues with height and marks. WCE still loom as threat in this area...

You try play on a *smile* like Sicily and see if you don’t bite back. Problem is Sicily’s been allowed to get away with his pushing and niggling all day.

I was watching Pricily taking potshots behind play on Lynch with an umpire escort alongside. Lynvh pushes back and it's a downfield free, how can an umpire stand there watching a player transgress and decide that a similar act exceeds some undisclosed threshold of force?

Yep it’s a disgrace and he has been doing that all year.

Clarkos presser had him talking about how many under 21 players they had.... :spin

Geez he seemed to ramble a lot - kept talking about being two down on the bench and it’s virtually impossible to win from that position, especially when one is your big man. Hmmmmm.

I see where you're going with this ... at least they didn't have to travel interstate!

Regarding the ages, under 20 we had 2 to their 1. Under 21 it was 5 each.
The only points at which they had more that us was under 22 (us 6, them 7) and under 25 (us 9, them 10).
At under 27 it was us 16, them 12.
Total average age we were almost a year younger, 24 and 281 days to 25 and 246 days.
But Burgoyne at 36 and 210 days sets off their average age quite a bit ... next oldest player on the ground was Puopolo at 31 and 168.

They're actually .0186% ahead.

Brisbane 103.5132
Richmond 103.4946

One less point for Brisbane 103.3877
An extra behind against Brisbane 103.3835

An extra behind for Richmond 103.6290
One less behind against Richmond 103.6339

Good thing there's no tangible reward hinging on it.

Lucky it's not R23.

2019 7 26.76 +1.42 Me 5

2018 15 25.94 +0.58 GWS 11

Mitchell or no Mitchell, that's the profile of a club going over the cliff.

Don't forget he's a genius.

Good solid win. We have got the Hawks measure even with our injury decimated side. They can't get near us. Was listening to RSN on Friday morning and all of Harford, White, Ramanauskas and Boomer Harvey tipped Hawthorn. Couldn't believe it. Do these so called experts not watch football? The last 4 times we have played Hawthorn we have dominated them; even if the margin doesn't indicate that. We also regularly beat them when they were playing in GFs and winning flags 2012 - 2015. Also can't believe the crap the media go on with about Clarko and his hatching plans to dismantle the Tigers; they went with it in the finals last year and they did it again last week ::)

IMHO that was more like a 10 goal win in relation to the dominance we displayed. I would still like us to be more efficient in the forward line and translate that dominance to the scoreboard. Reckon we left 3-4 goals out there from poor decisions and/or execution. I think % will be important for us this year as with Geelong and Collingwood going well we're not gonna be 2 games clear on top after round 23. Obviously top 4 is the goal but top 2 and guaranteed MCG finals is what we need to aim for. But you can't ask much more than we are doing at the moment given the team we are putting on the park each week. Great signs.

As for the Hawks, they are in trouble. Old list and their young players just aren't that good. Hawthorn is very overrated by the football world.

How are the headlines doing the rounds "Injury depleted Hawks overrun by Tigers" and "Ruthless Richmond rolls injury-cruelled Hawthorn"

Get *smile*, all of you media wankers.
