* Tivendale/Chaff...im not one to bag players all day everyday... but even they were stuffing up last night. In a team that was flying they looked like the weak links...im sorry but these guys have to go.

:hihi :hihi

It was like watching the Tigers in a dream last night. Everything going perfectly.

Then Chaffey stuffed up from in front and I knew it was real  ::)

Are you sure it wasn't captain Johnson you saw?

Several turnovers from him again on Saturday night in 'A team that was flying' as it has been so aptly put in this thread. This includes a terrible out of bounds on the full in defence when under almost zero pressure.

Woops, forgot, can't attack the captain ...

Sorry, have to defend Kane here. I was not one of his biggest fans and I dont believe we would be successful with Kane as one of our 'run past' or creative midfielders, but as a defensive midfielder he is a gem. Probably second only to Kirk in the league in terms of value to the team. Does miss a few targets and options - but actually generally effective if you go by the stats. Did a great job on Black and seeing they only had Power and Black as dangerous mids - set us up for the win.

Chaffey on the other hand is a hack - always has been always will be.

hmmm, Joel Bowden suspiciously looks like Raines? Interesting face...

Interesting to hear from Neale Daniher say last night during the game that the most important quality required of a player these days is having very good foot skills and good decision making abilities.

Then i thought of our list and and our mediocrity is easily explained with a distinct lack of quality foot skills and footy smarts............... which then begged the question why have we not recruited guys that can think and hit targets.

With the acquisition of the likes of Bling, Lids, Casserly, Jon, Thursty, Meyer, Howat ect maybe we have finally turned the corner in remedying this ridiculous situation of the past. ;)

How can you claim that when Casserly hasn't yet played league footy?!
Can you vouch for his decision making skills under the pressure cooker of the AFL in the big league??
Your clearly wrapping him up on reputation and thats an even more common fault with Richmond in the past.

A great opportunity for Terry Frawley to give confidence to Schulz and make him the main focus
up forward, so what does he do, bench him and put him in the backline in the last half.
Meanwhile, Stafford, who has absloutely no future, is left in the forward line.
Makes me wonder what goes through Wallaces head!

Diggles had to think really hard to try and squeeze a negative out of that game.

But he finally got there!!!

This has got to be the shortest game day thread ever......3 pages!! Was everyone here at the game? :)...............or is the reason there isn't much to complain about in this game ;D

Hehe...no doubt Legends!

Great team effort last night, led by the blokes in the centre who were excellent for the first half and really set up the win.

We'll be meeting the Blues and Bombers in a lot better shape than we were last time around, so wins against both and a good competitive effort if not a win against the Eagles will be a good finish to a season where we've taken another step forward.

Thought Ray had his best game in weeks RW. Funny that. ;)
A couple of mistakes bt overall he was pretty good.
You must have been pretty happy with his game.

Thought he made too many mistakes ToO, but none were a big problem and he was serviceable overall. He looked flat and tired at times late in the game and still seems to be struggling with his body and general fitness. Hopefully he can reach full fitness and maintain it next year...it makes a big difference for honest battlers like Hall.

As far as I could make out Tango, both Pat Bowden and Sherman played loose in the backline for their respective teams for much of the first half, hence the high possession counts for both players. Chaffey was not tagging Sherman.

Now now Dean, don't let facts stand in the way of a good sledge of one of our players.

well check the tape again, certainly in the 2nd half chaffey was following sherman - maybe not the first though (hence P.Bowdens sudden loss of possesions) he was probaly manned up so chaffey went to sherman
