The clear highlight of the victory has been the repsonse from Essendon supporters. Just magic listening to them whinge and moan. And now Mike Sheahan has jumped on the bandwagon of sookiness. Better than beating them by 10 goals as they say.

I heard the Sheenan cry this morning, great stuff.

Personally I think we need a new award.

The PRE Richmond Man of the Year. It goes to the individual who does the most during 2008 to either promote or forward the ideals of the Richmond Football Club.

While some may question his actions, I think the outcome of pissing off nearly every Essendon supporter on the planet, making half the media cry in their wheaties, and helping make sure we get the 4 points makes Mr. Bowden a damn fine front runner.

Essendon had losses of men during the game, we went in with at least 3 question marked players (Deledio, Hughes and Thursfield) if not more, and coming back from WA.

I actually thought it was a great contest of two teams going at it hard.

Just off on a slight tangent for a moment...

We had Scotty Turner in the room with us on Saturday and he got up and siad a few words and mentioned he was back up in Ararat coaching and playing the occassional game as well. Still a ripping fella but of most interest was when his young boy of eight years came up to draw the raffle for us.

The lad is a monster for 8 years old! Everyone was amazed at this kid decked out in the tiger jumper and boots and obviously was into Scotty as to his footballing ability.

If he keeps growing he'll tower over Sandilands.

The lad is a monster for 8 years old! Everyone was amazed at this kid decked out in the tiger jumper and boots and obviously was into Scotty as to his footballing ability.

If he keeps growing he'll tower over Sandilands.

That's what a diet of noodles (Scotty owned the Noodle Hut) and the good Warrnambool weather will do for you.
