Game Day - Tigers v Weagles

Just watching the delayed telecast - Stafford left his boots in the middle of the ground.

Well done Staff, 3 goals in your last game. Must say, he looked just about tuckered out towards the end.

Maybe because Jay is a part of our future, the game was over, and there was no harm in letting Stafford see the rest of the game out?

As for Foley, maybe he sat a bit more to give Howat and Roach a chance to stake their claims for next year?

Judd, Fletcher and cousins absolutley ripped us apart today. 86 possesions and 5.3 between them really hurt us. A positive was that we could kick 13 goals when the ball was at the eagles end of the ground prob 70% of the time.

As we all know it was the defence that was poor today. Not really there fault tho as P.Bowden was probobly the tallest defender we had.

as CC TIGER said Deledio and Tambling were fantastic. The run those two boys had today was a treat to watch and 44 possesions and 14 marks between them is a positive.

Well its not looking good for Roach. Just 5 possesions for the game and i wouldnt no how much game time he has, but if it was over 60min that is very dissapointing. His future looks sour.

I hear talks this week bout Howat's future unclear. He has been fantastic for the club in the last four weeks averaging just under 19 possies a game and just under 6 marks a game. He is looking the goods.

It was a poor effort as we all know today. And 2007 is looking good for the club and it was a positive season for the club and with the players like Coughlan and Newman back in 2007, GET EXITED!

"judd didnt have a good game"

yeh 25 possies with your eyes shut is a bad game

lol at le cras and armstrong almost beating our whole score

what a joke

3 goals, 11 contested possies, 13 effective kicks from 14.

How is that not a good game

Johno was on top of him until he was moved off him in the 3rd and then Judd let loose!

Yes i do agree with that, it shows that Johnson is teh number 1 tagger in the comp. Just curious... who did play on Judd in the 3rd???

Made little difference, but when was the last time a team had 7 free kicks for an entire game?

Probably coincidence, but whenever a coach publicly questions anything to do with the AFL their team seems to get shafted shortly after. Might be in our best interests for TW not to make public comment on neutral issues, i.e. the Didak incident and tribunal process.

if any of you ferals seriously think we have improved then you need to get your head checked, our last 3 wins have been against teams playing for draft picks and when we come up against quality opposition we are weak as *smile*

raines, lids, polo and bowden stand up fellas

the rest are a disgrace
Evanstone.....If youre so bloody knowleagable about the game and the Tigers progress....I dare you to pull on your boots and get out there and show all of us deluded ferals how its done..C,mon son....set us an example.....with all that natural talent youve got.......and if you cant...a piece of advice......
"Better to keep your mouth shut and be thought a fool....than to open it and remove all doubt.....and i say to you mate.....If Richmonds lack of progress pisses you off so much,*smile* of and hop on the Fremantle Shockers bandwagon,or Port Adelaide or Anyone rather than using this forum to feed your ego with your crap....

Now come a little closer to your monitor...thats it....just a little coser....to the left a bit.......BANG!

Geez Nitro I'd hate to have read evanstone's posts in the Frawley era, I'd have been near-suicidal.

TW said after the game that he rotated Deledio, Tambling and Foley onto Judd in the third term for experience.
Regardless of what occurred, I'm pleased to read that.
Thosde boys have all got to be alot more accountable for their opponents.

Well Evanstunned,

Your reasoning is flawed.  Last year we won matches against teams playing for draft picks, last year we also when very few matches aginst top 8 sides.  This year we've blooded many, many youngsters and won more matches than last year doing so.  So, yes, if that logical view is what defines a 'feral' (very derogatory word by the way), then I guess I am one.

PS You cant try and be the orginal Diggler (aka Laff), so why not try your own style?  Makes it more interesting

It's a funny time of the year. I'm agreeing with Goodone! The last thing PRE is another Diggler/Laff/Claw clone using the "feral" line. The funny thing is with these guys who keep using the feral line is that the the words "pot", "kettle" and "black" come to mind.

/quote]foley never gets more than 80 mins a game yesterday was no different for no reason

Disappointed to read TW used the sales pitch on did we have a better side on or off the field yesterday. What a ridiculous & disapppointing comment.

A garbage match.....actually tipped us to win, seeing the Eagles had a few players out (Kerr, Wirrpunda, Embley, Sampi, etc)....and we had been playing quite well.
Also, the Eagles I thought might be a little 'tentative' and didn't want to get any injuries right before the finals series began, where we had nothing to lose.
And we were playing at the 'G....a place where the Eagles don't usually play at their best.

Well...was I wrong... :o

Really disappointed.
If the players didn't want to play.....may as well have picked 22 people fromt he crowd to have a dip...least we would have shown more heart.

Wonder whether the way Kellaway has been treated may have had an effect on some of the players....some might be a bit bitter about things, one way or the other.

A big difference I noted on Sayurday was the Muscleature of the Eagles mid fielders, compared to Richmonds. Cousins and Fletcher are solid and well muscled, and thus able to break tackles, Judd is as lean as a greyhound, but quick, even LeCras, and Armstrong have reasonable definition for blokes with little time in the system.

Hopefully Delidio, Foley, Polo and Howat can add some size and strength to their frames over the next year or two, or we will continue to see our midfielders brushed aside time and time again at the contest.

I doubt Tivendale is much bigger now, after 160 games than he was when he started, which is an indictment on the clubs fitness staff. It could be Fiora re-visited, it seems the club is unable to build players up sufficiently to compete with the elite of the competition, unless they are using some form of 'medical' assistance.
