Game day vs Essendon

Nah poshman, had nothing to do with Cotch not being able to put it on. He was interviewed after the game and said he's "Completely Yellow & Black and could not stomach putting on the Essendon jumper", or words to that effect.

Looked a lot like he couldn't get it on to me.

RICHMOND v ESSENDON (Coaches Votes)

10 Dustin Martin (Rich)

7 Alex Rance (Rich)

6 Trent Cotchin (Rich)

4 Brandon Ellis (Rich)

2 David Zaharakis (Ess)

1 Brendon Goddard (Ess)

A little embarrassing for Caro IMO, her dislike for Martin continues to show.

Just like to gloat about the fact that I watched the game in a pub in Manila with about 20 other Aussies (mostly Tiges supporters of course)...........two of which just happened to be absolute legendary former Premiership Richmond players (one an ex-captain).
8- ;D :hearton

Both really nice guys, very friendly and passionate about the Club.

I can die now.
Bruce and ?

Didn't say the ex-captain was captain when we won the Premiership......

Not going to disclose who they were. They deserve their privacy.
Was very happy to have a real long chat with them and pleasantly surprised how refreshingly honest they were about the general state of the game and the Tigers.

Looked like he tried to put it on to me, just like Heppell and Rance did.

Cotch had it over his head and tried to pull it down. I assume his comments were tongue in cheek, but still good to hear.

Coach A

5 - Martin
4 - Rance
3 - Ellis
2 - Cotchin
1 - Goddard

Coach B

5 - Martin
4 - Cotchin
3 - Rance
2 - Zaharakis
1 - Ellis

Robbo had Martin winning the award in his "dislikes" and wrote "I look forward to Damien Hardwick giving him five votes".

Generally not a fan of all the rule changes (the deliberate rushed behind decision got them fuming), the PC/SJW mantra of the modern AFL (with it's "inclusion" officers, tokenism, feature rounds every other week etc), not big fans of Hardwick, agree that recruitment has let us down in recent years.......pretty much the same thoughts as most people on here really.
Was nice that they didn't bite their tongues and censor their thoughts.

Who did that clown think deserved it?

Dimma would have to be Coach A. No way he'd give Zaka 2 votes since he never bothers giving him an opponent.

Yep, Coach B really didn't appreciate BEllis' game. But funny, neither rated Heppell's.

I was amazed Heppell got votes in the Yiooken. Disappeared after quarter-time. Then again, those voting for him were Caro, Sam Lane and Jason Mifsud, none of whose footy opinion I would take over zips'.

Just read Slobbo's article L2. He wanted Ellis to get the award and that was who he was referring to re Dimma's 5 votes.

Yeah sorry I completely stuffed that up. That's what happens when the boss interrupts during a post. >:(

I thought Heppel was pretty solid. For Essendon had most contested, most clearances, 2nd most tackles, 3rd most 1percenters,3rd most pressure acts. Didn't have a lot of midfield support.

Chris Johnson - 3 Martin, 2 Cotchin, 1 Zaharakis
Caroline Wilson - 3 Cotchin, 2 Zaharakis, 1 Heppell
Sam Lane - 3 Martin, 2 Ellis, 1 Heppell
Jason Mifsud - 3 Martin, 2 Heppell, 1 Ellis

Staggered that anyone could vote for Heppell ahead of the opposing skipper, other than as a token Essendon representative. Didn't think they had anyone in the best three or four.
