I know you're being sarcastic to make fun of me, but are you really suggesting his goal wasn't critical? Or brilliant?

Because it was clearly both of those things.

Also, watch our last three goals, from 15 points down to win - Riewoldt has the last touch before the goal in all three. He then clears the ball out of danger on the wing with seconds to go to secure the win. He was in everything and CRITICAL to the win.

They're both working their arse's off. Pathetic? Wow.
I agree...Jack was in everything late in the game. We would not have won without him I reckon.

Given that contest was 4 on 1 going for the ball and we have Aarts also in the pic - where are the other tiger smalls to collect the ground ball - this is one reason we are struggling as it’s hard to get our smalls up and back in time - systems issue rather than structural.
This has been my biggest concern all year.

It's also contributing to the ease with which our opposition has transitioned the ball from defence all year.

I remember sitting on the wing in game 1 against Carlton and thinking, uh oh. Why are Carlton - CARLTON - cutting us up along the length of the ground?

Then I watched Sydney, Geelong and Melbourne do the same thing to absolutely sink us.

It's still a real area of concern, despite the good win.

One option is to change where the small's are running. Another is to change our structure slightly with a third tall. Also gives us more height to contest the aerial wing contests.

Also, this is what Jack is dealing with.

This was not even half way through the first quarter.

It was his fourth (so far) outnumbered aerial contest that he was involved in, either forward or on the wing.

It resulted in a goal. Like a lot of his contests did.

We have a bloke that's going up four on one for no personal reward, creating goals and moving all over the park, and people think he's being beaten by one opponent.

Insanity.

Just watching the game again. Jack was actually directly involved in 5 of our last 6 goals. It's actually amazing watching it and looking for it. He was in everything.

He won't get the score involvement stat, because three of them were taps, one was a tackle, and one he kicked it himself.

And the 6th of those 6 goals? He wasn't directly involved, but it was this contest on the wing that started the play that got it there.

This why having another tall (CCJ) worrying the defenders will allow Jack and Tom more freedom.

huh?

lynch worked his arse off all game. Presented and presented and presented again. Kicked poorly but did a power of work.

Jack is the key forward who has let the team down. He’s been nothing short of pathetic the last 2 weeks.
Just watched the replay, fair dinkum, any "pathetic" call is ludicrous, pathetic even. Wash your mouth out and think before you post.

Broad landed heavily on Greene's back over the goal line. Should probably have been a free.
But, as you say, over the goal line. So cannot be a free if out of play, surely, not that I haven't seen umpires award them ... against us.
