Game Plan after kicking a point....

For a very long time now, teams are able to take the ball out of our forward line after we score a point way too easily!!

I watched us closely today in this aspect (as we kicked 16 points), and it looks as though we are told to go man on man, however, our players are way too slow to react the situation. It seems as if we kick a point and our boys think it is a chance to tune off for a quick second or two.

I believe this is one of the main problems when we are struggling. Today it was shocking....but why doesnt the coaching panel change our plan??

Surely it is time to get rid of the man on man, and try and set up some sort of zone defence from the oppositions kick in..... ???

Raised a few weeks ago. Man on man at kick outs went out 5 years ago. Everyone knows you need at least outriders on the huddle otherwise you are giving all the space to the opposition. Wallace is an idiot to persevere with this plan when it kills us every week.

Without fail, if we kick a point, the opposition get the ball to half way without us even putting pressure on.

I can understand that sometimes if you score a point in general play, and the opposition get the ball in quickly you may have some guys out of position, but it happens even when we are having a set shot.

Too many blokes standing around gazing at the bloke having the shot, rather than getting organised in case of a miss.

This is close to our number one problem in games. We give up too much easy ball from these situations (and when the ball is cleared from our forward line) and it puts us under the pump down back.

Its been happenning for 3 years, so dont expect it to change.

Has been a problem for ages and yet nothing seems to be done about it. Another cause of frustration to add to the list.
