Now i just read G.Lyon's article in the sun, i respect the guy as a player but he is starting to sound a little like tosser NO 1 Tony Shaw.
When you read the article their are some valid points i make no mistake about that but then he makes comments which can be easily dismissed or broken down as presumptions or hypotheticals which do nothing for the credibility of his story.
1) The tigers have no one to compare with buddy franklin arguably the most exciting talent in the game and a player they over looked in favour of Tambling.....Now Gary deledio is streets ahead of buddy but it seems ur point is more directed at bling, so i say this why didn't the dawks get him at NO 2 or the dogs at NO 3...cause like u said franklin arguably is the most exciting talent in the game.
2) Kicking goals for buddy is as natural and exciting as it is "laborious and excruciating for richo"...What a load of hog wash, no one loves a goal more than richo and yeah like any player that misses a goal, they bleed....Shannon grant "roos", lovett murray bombers, motlop V saints lat year...I mean tosser No 2 just a dumb comment, how do u know what richo is thinking IE: Excruciating.
3) Jared Roughhead, Lyon says Is going to be a very good player....Who says Lyon you!....He says tiger fans want to know about meyer, cleve and JON (well in defence of JON who has had injuries and only entering his 2nd year, ditto cleve 2nd year.....well Gary im sure the hawks fans want to know why their prized NO 2 pick now in his third year was playing reserves last week and his game on the weekend produced diabolical figures...8 possessions...1 mark (none contested) and 1 goal....If lids was playing reserves last week mate it would be splashed all over the papers and PRE would be in meltdown....Roughhead in all honesty has escaped a lot of scrutiny.
So gary u reckon he's going to be good, If that’s the case im going to say patto will be fine don’t worry about that, plus Cleve who was Pick 24 NOT pick 2 will likely step up in the next year or so and while im at it Meyer who admittingly hasn't come up to expectations will come good too, if we're all making presumptions here....
4) The hawks can still look forward to introducing v blue chip youngsters "dowler, muston, max little, thomas murphy and max bailey....Well i counter that if we're all having presumptions...I say edwards, connors, collins, petersen, clingan(rookie), white, JON, casserly etc etc are going be great for us.
5) The hawks moved on graham, lonie, picioane, Hay and Everitt...Now Gary everitt wanted out of the hawks as did Thommo.
6) Over time we got...Graham (i was against that)
Knoble at the time we needed a ruckman and snagged him in the PSD and got simmo too, simmo has worked out a treat for the fiora trade mention that Lyon. And knob id have to say it hasn't worked but at the time we needed a ruckman or 2 and did just that after otto moved on...
Bowden cost us pick 55 i think (4th round) as a 24 year old then has been handy without being terrific...jury is still out.
Polak 22 years old (KPP) very good first 2 games including preseason, quiet last week but in that trade we also got JR,
so at this present time it seems that in that trade we're ahead.
