Gary March on SEN

Surely that cant be true. He is on par with coaching experience as Cameron and Scott. 93 point thumpings are not something that should be taken lightly when considering the care taker as the future senior coach.

We need a fresh start. One of Hardwick, Hinkley or Richardson is a must as our coach from 2010 onwards.

I reckon he's well behind Scott. At least Scott has played in Premierships under good coaches. He has also coached as an assistant to one of the best coaches going around. Jade has none of these attributes.

I think you are reading too much into it, I didn't get any favouratism towards Jade out of anything March or Gale said pre/during the game.

As has been said this can't be right before he has had his second interview.

I heard GM in the car on the way to the game.

As others have said, he spoke well. I thought he was honest and refreshing, but also very realistic. When asked about players etc, he didn't shy away and tried to paint a rosy picture. Badically agreed with the commentors views and admitted we have a long way to go.

But also talked up that we believe we are on the right track. Yes we are down and out now, but we are doing what we need to do to turn it around. meaning the process about the coach etc. By doing everything right now, we lay the foudations.

Also interesting comments about being more defenceive. He mentioned something about all top teams having solid defence and being defence ( as we have seen St.K take to a new level this year ). I thought it was interested because TW used to talk about bulding a running attacking team. It is good to see that GM and our club relise that premiership teams are always brilliant deffenceively and put on non stop pressure and tackleing, as well as being good on the attack when they have the ball by having good ball movemant and a good forward set up.

The whole interview gave me confidence that we are laying the foudations for success, and we are realistic about where we are now.

Yep I specifically noticed the bit about defence as well. He also talked briefly about the coaching sub-committee having a strong set of parameters for what they want to see in the new coach and that would undoubtedly include a strong defensive emphasis which was good to hear.

He was quite impressive but the one bad thing that I thought he said was - He was asked if they overrated the list and he said he didn't think so.

If what I heard the other day is correct, they're still overrating it.
