General Trivia quiz

I did a search for it too. Interesting question Djevv. You live and you learn.

Post your answer K3. :)

Sorry about that all, kept looking back but got no reply for a while and then life got in the way... :)

Having a dad who is 'ex-Krishna' certainly helped with the answer, as I knew most of it, and was quite enlightening.

Alrighty.. here's my shot

Does the Australian, English or Kiwi yard glass hold the most beer? And for a bonus point, how much is it (approximately)?

Whoa lad! What's the answer to my question?

Ha ha ha ha... my humblest apologies Djevv! I think I should go back to the footy side of things and post about how I know everything about anything footy... :hihi

The definition I have for it is two-fold being a. A reference for the diety Krishna and b. it comes from a Sanskrit word, that is something like Juggernath/ Jugganath, that means Lord of the world.

Okay, time for my PSD and Rookie draft wishes...

Don't forget the cart! Krishna/Jaganath(Juggernaut) had this huge cart (weighing tonnes) with his idols on it which gets rolled out once per year. It frequently got out of control and crushed worshippers under its wheels, which is how we derive the modern meaning.

Found all this out while reading 'Jane Eyre' written in the 1830s which had various anachronisms explained in the back. Thought this one was interesting enough to post.

Anyway, carry on......

And while I'm not sure that it still happens... it wasn't long ago that during the relevant festival the devotees would bring out 'the cart' and people would throw themselves under the wheels. Think the TAC would have something to say about that! Maybe Collingwood could do up a promotional ad to air in India staring Didak and Shaw? ;D

Hey K3, did you see my guess?
Hey Streak, I certainly did...n't :-X

Is it really 8 cans here in Oz? Go Hawkey!

But time to look to the judges *drum roll please* bzzzzzzt incorrect answer. One down, two to go :)

Okay... Okay... I'll give you a clue

The correct country answer has a Union Jack on their national flag. ;D

English...a lot.
Very, very close Rosy. Ahhh the memories of spending New Years in Edinburgh and bagging out the Poms whilst consuming too many pints of cider :)

Been a couple of weeks so maybe time to give up. Feel free to tell us the answer and ask another question K3.

Am with you there Rosy, sure looks like the question was underwhelming... ah well.

How about this for a 'get the ball rolling again' question: What is the/an intrinsic difference between Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes?
