PUNT ROAD END | Richmond Tigers Forum

I watch Richmond games as closely as possible. Going to 10/15 games a season ,foxtel IQ replays 3 times a week plus all the footy shows.
Thats hardcore and therefore qualify's my opinion.
Its like a heard mentality Joel Bowden bashing, its as if you dont know what your talking about unless you have a dip at Bowden.
Lets examine his strengths.
For a guy his height he is peerless at finding the ball.
His disposal is excellant
Decision making also excellent
Durable

So what are his negatives?

Gets beaten by larger opponents [ he is being as big as he can and doesnt choose his opponents]
Plays side ways to much [Agree. But when options are available more directly he uses them. ITS UP TO HIS TEAM MATES TO CREATE THE OPTION]
Doesnt takle enough [ If we delist every Richmond player who doesnt tackle enough Then Robin Nahas is going to be terribly busy next season]

In my opinion we should be usiing his strengths not critisizing his short comings.
iIts unfortunate that we must play what would be a dangerous forward or midfielder in the backline. He is played there because of his stable desicion making.

I would try Reiwoldt in the backline for the remainder of the season and get 35 goals out of Joel in the fwd line.

We gave Richo a rebirth lets give one to Joel
