The talk on here about trading Richo is ludicrous. You have to weigh up the pros and cons and Richo is worth heaps to us and will see his days out at Tigerland.
He wouldn't be massive currency as trade bait seeing he's in his 30's. We certainly wouldn't get the couple of first round picks people are suggesting.
Matty gets people through the gates for us because of the very things people want to trade him for. He's very unpredictable and even when Richmond are crap Richo is capable of doing unbelievable things, good or bad. He's an entertainer when our footy is far from entertaining.
Richo said he'd probably walk away from the game rather than start out at another club so we'd get nothing anyway and he's worth a lot more than nothing to us.
Richo is king of the kids. He's very important for capturing the support of future generations of Tigers.
Not only would the kids lose their hero I reckon membership would plummet if the club was so cold hearted to a favourite son. If Richo was going to be traded it would have been years ago, and apparently he was put on the table. Nobody wanted him then and I doubt they'd give much now.
