I noticed the thread to Harvey, and thought that here is a man that should receive equal praise. A hard nut player that really is one to be respected and looked up to. Well done archer on your 300. If only we had a few more players like you running around. Archer, harvey, hird, Buckely, Crawford, Richo . . . .they are the last of thier kind i think. The game has changed so much from when these players were starting out. Itl be a sad day that this group of tough dedicated players are all retired. Hopefully wont be for a while. . . .

Congrats Archer. . . . :clap

One of my favourite non-Tiger players. Congratulations Arch, I love the way you go about it. :clap

Richo paid Arch the ultimate compliment and said when he was at his best there were few tougher opponents to get a kick on.
I remember so clearly Archer having the wood on Richo on a few occassions and when you consider the size difference of the two players it was pretty remarkable that he was even competitive.

Lifted his team mates to greater heights. I too would have loved him at Richmond.

One tough SOB.

Richo being humble again, his record against North when Archer has played is superior to his overall record: 13 matches, 12.8 kicks, 3.3 handballs, 9.2 marks, 2.92 goals.

Congratulations to Archer, in the Harvey mould in that he gives everything he has and is still contributing well past his physical prime.

Although I've never been a fan of Archer's, I do begrudgingly admire his talent and strengths, however, today I was impressed to read that he's getting the boot into the AFL for all the manipulations of the contemporary game, with emphasis on "that" rule (hands in the back). I thought he raised a particularly salient point regarding the ever growing size of the AFL admin and executive and everyone making changes and tinkering with rules etc to justify their position.

Keep it up Glen, the AFL admin need to hear it over and over again from all and sundry, particularly the stars of the game such as yourself.

Never doubted that to be the case L2R but I do remember when they actually played on each other, that they had some titanic battles.

Knew what you meant ToO but didn't have stats for player v player battles.

The most respected man in football and most of it is becuase of the way he carries himself off the ground.

Plays the game the way it should be played. Hard, very hard.

Congratulations are not what he plays for, Glenn Archer is all about team success.

There are always some players you admire from other clubs..Glen Archer to me has always been a complete player..tough ,no nonsense in your face, good kick, thinker & a' ONE' club man, able most times to do a job on his apponnent & from all you read & hear is a good public speaker & family man.... :clap well done Arch

I think Richo used to routinely tear Jason McCartney a new one.

Archer's a legend. Always remember when we played the Roos he'd be on Richo and absolutely kill him every time. Probably the only player to have beaten Richo one on one in his career. I reckon Richo had Archer nightmares in his sleep.

Def legend.

Is one of the few opposition players that I wish played for us.

Is tough, courageous, strong and tough... Something we haven't had at Richmond for a long long time.

Congrats on the milestone Glen.
