Realise one thing, if GM is busting his guts out to get Fevola, it's quite obvious that Fevola wants to be with us which is good compared to past players we picked up such as Morrison & Blumfield who just came to us because they were just 'part of the deal'.

This bloke could show good loyalty with us in the future as he knows Newie, Richo and Browny pretty well.

Doesent him and Brownie dislike each other? ( Thought I read somewhere)

Garbage. They know each other well on the Footy Show.

I dont think it is garbage TF, The friction between the two stemmed from a game in 2004 match when fevola knocked out browny which forced him off the ground early in the 2nd quarter, unable to return.
Fevola was reported or cited for it and brownie was exposed to have said something in the press about it which as a result Fevola was not happy at all with Brown. Fevola publicly showed his dissapointment with Brown.

Now that I think about it, they have never looked like they like eachother on the footy show, they actually look the opposite.

We knocked out Browny in 2001 and when he joined us last year he just forgot about it and got on with life.

If Fevola becomes a teammate, I'm sure Browny will be the first to shake his hand, forget the past and become friends.

Agree with your facts TE, however these guys are paid too much to carry a grudge through to the same team these days (except for Cambo and Zanners that is ;))

The positive from it would be that they would most likely become very competetive against each other in the quest to be Richmonds 'franchise' player, or just the clubs most popular amoung supporters player!

If Fev comes to Richmond and is a match winner during the season, kicking over 70 goals, whilst carlton struggles. John Elliot will make a come back (not as president due to his directorship restrictions) but as a powerbroker for the club. The fans will bury the board.

If John's in control, carlton will be screwed for another 10 yrs. A long, long road for the bluescum.

Heard KB talking to Patrick Smith on SEN earlier today, and Patrick Smith made a reasonable comment ( well, in my opinion anyway )

Comment was along the lines of - Carlton are wanting to offload Fevola, so it is them that has to be flexible. Richmond can afford to play it with little comment.

Thought it was an interesting comment worth sharing

I've never heard Fatpr!ck Smith make sense before, but I think I finally have. He's right.

Yeah Pat Smith is right...... they want to get rid of fev and we said we would have him.... but if they think they can play hard ball then we wont have a bar of it and we will just pick kids again and possibly one or two experienced players via preseason draft etc. They will get desperate and we will get him for next to nothin - probably a pick and a player - mark my words.
