Just had a breakfast and have settled into the into the Saturday morning routine. Just about to walk up the shops and grab the papers. Enjoying the morning.

Now I was at the G last Thursday. I was as shattered as the rest of you. I felt sorry for the kids sitting there with a lifetime of disappointment in front of them. I was angry, frustrated and ready to quit the footy. Now though, as I sit here finishing off the last of my coffee the nerves are kicking in and I am getting excited about the game today.

I know we will probably get pumped but I also now know I will enjoy the leadup to the game as much as I did last week. The leisurely drive to K Park. A stroll to the pub for a pre game counter meal. A couple of pots and a short walk to the ground.

I know we are no good, I have known this for a long time. But it is Saturday and I get to go to the footy today to watch the Tiges.

Life's Good.

Well said josey. 99% sure we'll get beaten today but as 2006 v Adelaide & 1990 v Geelong (to name a couple) prove, you just never know.

Nice one Josey,

I love the pre-game build up too. I'm heading down to Royal Oak on Bridge Road if anyone's interested. Love the moments before and during the game sharing a beer with fellow passionate supporters at the pub.
However I think that's just the only thing I got to look forward to as we will get SMASHED today. It's just amazing how your weekend can just be ruined through your team's performance (or lack of).

I blame last week's loss on Nitro. His explosion last week was a very weak and timid "I'm scared". It no doubt had a huge influence on the players mindset before the game as I heard a whisper Nitro's explosions are read out to them just before they run out and kiss the "Sorry" sign.
Me too. Was more of an implosion than a detonation. Was kind of like a Frawley coaching performance.
Good to see the real Nitro back.

Anyway. I hope every Richmond player has a real think about their commitment to the team as they pull the jumper over their head this afternoon. Go Tiges, eat 'em alive.
