A couple of years ago we were bemoaning the fact we never got goals in play.  They were usually only from set shots closer in.  Below are the goal stats against Freo and they show quite the opposite.  Would they be typical of our play now or would last night be an exception?

I've got a feeling the tide has turned and our faster attacking play results in more goals.  Our set shots have been a  bit disappointing this year but I can't wait until they start going through too.

So many little signs we're heading in the right direction. :clap

good post

i have always been worried that in the last 5 years we get nowhere near enough goals from our mids. looks like it has turned

It'e great to see our mids kicking goals as this obviously makes it far harder for opposition sides to just play three on Richo and completely shut us down.
Strangely enough I think that the main reason we lost last night was the lack of a genuine quality forward in Richo or Browny.
Listening to the garbage call from the W.A. commentators it seemed like we had good control of most of the play for three and half quarters but didn't really have anyone in the forward line to polish them off and spent a bit to much time trying to construct a goal.
Last night was definately one that got away from us,but I'm happy to see us playing much smarter controlled footy this year compared to the rubbish we've had to swallow year in year out.
