Going backwards

Whilst i do not think Tuck or Lids will drop off next year under their own devices they will no doubt come under a greast deal more scrutiny tight checking and negative tactics which will lessen their active input to a degree (jeeez i hope not the case but i am expecting these boys to be targets next year).
Stafford gave nothing in 05 and i believe he will limp through 06 as his best footy is behind him, and am personally hoping for youngsters such as Thursfield, Bling, Meyer, Newman, Jackson, and even Casserly who is touted as the most likely to play in 06 toreplace the Chaffeys, and Tivendales and Hydes in the side who will not be missed when they go.
Tigers will probably tread water or stagnate next year at least for one more season which wont be too bad a result if a good draft results in the end.
I think Richo, Gas and Kell will role on as usual but expect Simmo to kick on in 06.
Patrick Bowden has 22 weeks to save his career and earn another contract and i think young Paddy may flourish a bit at tigerland with Joel, that said if he does kick on i would replace Pettifer with him as the 3rd option up forward but i am biased and would replace Pettifer with my mum if i could :hihi
The upside of all this is even if the tigers have an ordinary year and i believe they will due to a similar list and a tougher draw with duds still infesting the side the upside will be the further improvement, exposure and development of the youngsters such as Meyer, Lids, JoN, Cass, Thirsty, Raines, Harts, Patto, Bling, Jacko and possibly even McGuane and Cleaver if they can snatch a game towards seasons end.
Hopefully Foley can get some opportunities but i still do believe that Roach and Moore will be the 2 youngsters most likely to get the flick at years end cos i just dont see too many spots in the side for either of them as they both have a stack of similar types ahead of them.

Absolute rubbish. The kids will get experience at Coburg and a bit of a taste at AFL level. When they improve and earn their spot they will replace the 'hacks' in the seniors. Hopefully by then (a year or two) they will be big enough and experienced enough to make an impact. Players like Tuck and Davey who did they hard yards in SANFL or the VFL and earn their stripes seem to make an impact much quicker when they finally make it! Players like Deledio & Cooney are the exeption rather than the rule.

As for players who go backwards: Gilmour, Hilton and Archie!!
